California Legislators Want to Make State Government More Communist-Friendly
Some California legislators have decided that overturning a Cold War era law that makes being a communist a fireable offense for state employees is a high priority.
Being a communist would no longer be a fireable offense for California government employees under a bill passed Monday by the state Assembly.
Lawmakers narrowly approved the bill to repeal part of a law enacted during the Red Scare of the 1940s and ’50s when fear that communists were trying to infiltrate and overthrow the U.S. government was rampant. The bill now goes to the Senate.
It would eliminate part of the law that allows public employees to be fired for being a member of the Communist Party.
Employees could still be fired for being members of organizations they know advocate for overthrowing the government by force or violence.
Maybe banning communists has led to a labor shortage for the state. We are talking about California here.
One of the most disturbing political trends I’ve witnessed in my lifetime is the general softening of attitudes toward the evils of Communism. That system of government is antithetical to human rights and individual liberty. It is incompatible with being an American.
The oddest thing about it is that while the progressive left has always had a soft spot for communist regimes and policies they’re currently conducting their own “red scare” by desperately trying to prove President Trump is colluding with Russia.

Whoop-de-do! and BFD. They are taking it over not by violence, but by flooding the state with illegal immigrants that have no connection to our lawful heritage, and through the subterfuge listed in section (e). Once these Communists like Bonta and his ilk gain substantial power, they will use this same legislation against any Constitutional freedom loving patriotic group that may have to resort to taking their rightful government back by force. It’s Red Herring a real Commie Red Herring left in the bill’s language.
There is NO reason to float this legislation unless you are a Communist and promoting Communism. CA now knows who the Communists are in their legislature by seeing who voted for this treason, 41 of them.
If they want to do something positive, they should add to it to ban Sharia law or any other ideology that is subversive of our Constitution, but if they did that most of them would have to resign.
