WATCH: How Does Israeli PM Netanyahu Respond To “Fake News”?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is borrowing a term from President Trump: fake news.

The difference being, he’s got an important point to make, and for the Israelis, the stakes are much higher than just Netanyahu’s ego.

It seems there have been several news outlets that pushed a document from Hamas, the terrorist organization that runs Palestine, in order to prop up the leftist lie of Palestine being the peacemakers and Israel being the problem in the region.

Anyone who has been keeping up has seen Israel make concession after concession, in the name of peace, only to be met with more hostility, more rockets, more terrorist attacks, more aggression.

Israel is seen as the problem by Islam, and by those who prop up terrorist regimes, such as the leftwing zealots.

Said Netanyahu:

“Ever wonder what fake news is?” Netanyahu asked in a social media posting. “Last week, headlines in CNN, Al Jazeera and The Guardian said Hamas now accepts a Palestinian state along the 1967 lines. The New York Times headline called this ‘moderation.’”

So, the usual suspects.

“The intimation is that Hamas now accepts the State of Israel,” Netanyahu continued. “Great news, right? Well except for one small detail: This is a complete distortion of the truth.”

The New York Times in a May 1 front-page headline wrote: “Hamas Tempers Extreme Stances In Bid For Power.”

My first reaction is to stifle a laugh, as I ask what “tempers” looks like with Hamas.

“It’s bad enough Hamas lies to the world, we don’t also have to lie to ourselves,” Netanyahu said. “Hamas murders women and children. Its launched thousands of missile attacks at our homes. It brainwashes Palestinian kids in suicide kindergarten camps.

“So, where does this hate-filled document belong?” he concludes with a question.

He then crumples the document and dunks it into the garbage.

I’d say that’s about as appropriate a response as such an assertion deserves.
