The Syrian Arab Army liberates the strategic Town Southeast of Deir ezzor… After days of heavy clashes to the Northeast of the Deir ezzor Military Airport, the Syrian Arab Army has finally liberated a strategic Town which Isis forces had hitherto fought relentlessly to maintain… Syrian Arab Army forces fully secured the Town of Al-Jafrah, ejecting Isis militants via a torrent of gunfire, Artillery barrage, and Airstrikes… In liberating Al-Jafrah, the Syrian Arab Army has now full secured the area around Deir ezzor Military Airport which in the meantime will allow for helicopters to transit to and from the base in relative safety…

The Syrian Arab Army liberated the imperative Town of Al-Muri’iyah, Friday, following a big advance near the Deir ezzor Military Airport… Backed by heavy Airstrikes from the Russian Air force, the Syrian Army managed to break through the so-called Islamic state’s defenses after liberating the strategic 1082 Air Defenses Base and its surrounding farms… Video footage of the Syrian Arab Army’s forces liberating Al-Muri’iyah was posted by the National Defences Forces… With the Al-Muri’iyah liberated the Syrian Army is now only 5 k.m² away from the large Town of Mohassah in the Deir ezzor countryside…

Footage has been released showing the Russian Air Force targeting the so-called Islamic state ferry docks, troop movements and positions on the both sides of the Euphrates River over the skies of Deir ezzor Governorate… In the video footage Russian combat aviation can be seen striking barge docking points as well as Isis troop and vehicle gatherings with pinpoint accuracy using a range of bombs… Regarding Isis movements across the Euphrates it is still entirely clear whether the Terrorist-group is attempting to evacuate its forces to the Eastern bank of the river (where kurdish-led forces are rapidly closing in) or if it is bringing in reinforcements to the Western bank in order to sustain operations against the Syrian Arab Army…

US-Backed Militants Raising Threat to Syrian Army in Deir Ezzur

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces managed to spread control over several regions on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River on Monday, increasing the possibility of direct clashes with the Syrian army.

The SDF continued their operations in Eastern Deir Ezzur, striking at ISIL’s positions South of the Deir Ezzur industrial zone.

According to reports, SDF took control of a textile plant and a road junction known as the 7-kilometer roundabout and all factories and plants in the area.

A military source reported on Sunday that the US-backed forces known as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) moved further towards Deir Ezzur city and the Syrian Army troops’ defense lines, increasing the possibility of direct confrontation with the army soldiers in the region.

The source said that the Island Strom Operation Room reported that the SDF were advancing towards Deir Ezzur in the battles in the province in recent days.

The source added that the SDF’s advances occurred despite several cases of warning to the US-backed forces (to stay away from the army forces’ positions in Deir Ezzur).

The SDF gained control over 14 farms, one village and two large towns in Deir Ezzur province in the last 8 days in order to approach the Syrian army’s positions.

In the meantime, the commander of Deir Ezzur Military Council said that his forces continued their advances (towards Deir Ezzur city) from the village of Abu Faas, adding that the SDF fighters seized control over Sugar Company and Power Company near the cotton factories.

Spokesman for the Russian Military in Humeimim Airbase Igor Konashenkov categorically denied claims that Russian fighter jets bombed positions of the US-backed SDF on Eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzur on Saturday.

“This is not possible. Why would we bomb them?” Igor Konashenkov was quoted by the AFP as saying on Saturday.

A Kurdish media outlet claimed on Saturday that the Syrian and Russian fighter jets targeted positions of the SDF in the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzur province in early hours of Saturday.

The Kurdish-language Hawar news agency reported that the Russian and Syrian fighter jets hit SDF’s positons in al-Sina’ah region in the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Early Saturday, injuring a number of the Kurdish fighters.

Hawar news said that six SDF fighters were injured in the air raid, adding that Damascus and Moscow had not reacted to the allegation.

The US-backed SDF forces in Syria announced that they would not allow the Syrian government troops to cross the Euphrates River.

“Now we have 3 km between us and the Eastern riverbank, once our forces reach the area, any shot fired into that area will be considered an attack on the military council,” Abu Khawla, commander of the SDF-affiliated Deir Ezzur Military Council, said.

“We have notified Damascus and Moscow that we are coming to the Euphrates riverbank, and they can see our forces advancing. We do not allow the Syrian pro-government forces to cross to the Eastern riverbank,” he added.

Moscow also said Syrian government forces crossed the Euphrates River in their push to liberate the Deir Ezzur Province from ISIL, ignoring a warning by a ragtag group of militants that receives Washington backing

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova added on Friday that the Syrian army was already on the river’s Eastern side.

The Syrian army crossed the Euphrates to deploy on the Eastern bank of the river this week.

Syria’s al-Watan newspaper reported on Tuesday that the first units of the army deployed on the Eastern bank of the river, spreading towards the regions where a number of SDF claimed to have deployed a day earlier.

The Arabic-language daily also stressed that the Syrian soldiers were waiting for portable bridges to move their armored units across the river.

The SDF claimed last week that a number of its units advanced over 250 square kilometers in their anti-ISIL operations dubbed as ‘Island’s Storm’, and are approaching the contact line with the Syrian army.

The SDF opened a new front in Eastern Syria earlier in September and moved towards Deir Ezzur from the North.

The spokesman for international coalition Ryan Dilon reported that since the beginning of the Island’s Storm military operations, the SDF has captured more than 250 square kilometers in Wadi Nahr Khabour region in Northeastern Deir Ezzur.

Meanwhile, the SDF media center announced that combat units entered the streets al-Sina’ah (industrial0 region in Deir Ezzur city’s outskirts.

Al-Sina’ah industrial region is only 10 kilometers from Deir Ezzur city, meaning that the SDF are now just 10 kilometers away from Syrian troops and their allies if their claims are proved.

US Forces Retreat from Base in Syrian Deserts

Websites affiliated to the terrorist groups reported on Monday that the US Army has pulled forces back from al-Zakaf in Syria’s Badiyeh (desert) region.

Al-Qasiyoun website quoted Mahmoud Abdullah, one of the commanders of Jeish Maqavir al-Thorah, as saying that the US army forces have retreated from al-Zakaf bae in Eastern Homs towards regions near al-Tanf airbase at Syria’s border with Iraq and Jordan.

The source further told al-Qasiyoun that the move came after an agreement with the Russian forces.

No independent source has confirmed the claim yet.

The Arabic-language al-Hadath news quoted another Arab news network, Elam al-Harbi, as reporting that all the British soldiers have left al-Tanf and al-Zakaf bases at Syria’s border with Iraq for al-Arzaq base in Jordan.

Elam al-Harbi had previously reported that Ahmad Abdu terrorist group and later Jeish al-Soud al-Sharqiyeh had left Syria’s Badiyeh (desert) in Southern Damascus for Jordanian territories after receiving assurances from Russia and Jordan.

Elam al-Harbi had said that the two terrorists groups were to hand over the region that was previously under their control to the Syrian government.

A Lebanese media outlet reported last week that the UK ended training of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) terrorists in al-Tanf base and withdrawn from the base in Southern Homs near the border with Iraq.

The English-language AMN website reported that the United Kingdom withdrew its troops from the coalition-operated al-Tanf base in Syria’s Southwestern desert and ended all military assistance hitherto provided to FSA-affiliated mercenaries in the region.

The UK-based Daily Telegraph reported the UK’s wind-down of support for the FSA militants began in June of this year when at least 20 special forces troops were confirmed to have withdrawn from the al-Tanf base.
