Put your Money where your mouth is Mr.Kaepernick

Because of the situation with the NFL, I have had this thought come to my head.  Why does the political opinion of celebrities matter to our society?  Since when did entertainers have a credible opinion when it comes to politics.

First of all I would like to make something clear about entertainers, they are not everyday people. They dont wory about having insurance or how they’re going to pay their bills, they dont have to wory about paying for college or other things us normal people have to deal with. Im not saying that there isint some entertainers that I like. What I’m saying is that most of them don’t understand what it is like to be a middle-class American.

These football players, what are they taking a knee for. For social justice, to make a statement. All of these actors bashing on president Trump. where do these people get their credibility? Is it because they’re good at pretending. Do the football players get their credibility because they are good at playing A game. None of these people have gained credibility by doing good things for this world or because of their intelligence, they gained their credibility because they can entertain you.

The worst part about these celebrities is that they are so quick to make a stand and point out what they think is wrong with this country and this world, but they don’t act on anything they say. Instead of making a statement that black people are mistreated why don’t you actually try and stop it. They all have enough money to start organizations to help these causes that they are whining about, and if people agree with their causes they will donate.

One actor who has gained a lot of respect from me is Ashton Kutcher. I’m not saying I agree with his political views or anything but he had a problem with things he saw in the world and he’s fighting to change them. It made him sick to hear about the human trafficking going on around the world so he started an organization to stop human trafficking. If all of the celebrities that make millions of dollars a year put their money where their mouth is, this world could be a much better place. Everyone needs to stop tearing people down and come together as a country and stop the division that has been created by politics.
