Anti-Trump Texts Aren’t All This FBI Agent Was Writing

Remember when former FBI Director James Comey was the devil to Republicans and a savior to Democrats, when he let Hillary Clinton off the hook for using private servers for classified emails? Then, with just days to go before the election, he sent a letter saying they were re-opening the case, because of some emails found on the laptop of disgraced perv, former Rep. Anthony Weiner.

In that moment, he became a hero to Republicans and the devil to Democrats.

The back and forth had to be exhausting for him.

A new report out today recalls that period, and it seems a now-familiar name was involved.

Peter Strzok, who exchanged derogatory messages about President Trump and expressed sympathy toward Clinton with FBI colleague and mistress Lisa Page, was in favor of reopening the Clinton probe after new emails were discovered on Rep. Anthony Weiner’s laptop, a source told CNN.

Comey sent the note to lawmakers on Oct. 28, the day after Strzok circulated his “first cut” to other FBI officials on Oct. 27, a little more than a week before voters went to the polls. Clinton has openly blamed that particular letter for her defeat in the 2016 election.

Well, there’s a twist.

The huddled masses of devotees and conspirators, starved for any morsel that would get Trump off the hook, have used the texts between Strzok and Page, critical of Trump, as their proof that the fix was in against him.

The line of the theory is that these were Clintonians, seeking to bring Trump down, and since it didn’t happen, then maybe it’s proof of extreme bias and renders the Russia probe corrupted.

More and more, it’s looking like Strzok was just a guy trying to identify with and play up to a woman he was having an affair with.

At the time of the letter’s drafting, then-FBI Chief James Rybicki suggested some edits, before sending it on to Comey.

That day, Strzok messaged Page about his reticence regarding a public statement, though the pair did not disclose what statement they were referring to, two sources with knowledge of the missives told the network.

I didn’t want to write it, Babe, but I had to!

Strzok didn’t last on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team for very long. When the anti-Trump texts were discovered, Mueller booted him to Human Resources.
