Media Completely Quiet on Terry McAuliffe Saying He’d Punch Trump as It Goes Insane Over Sh*thole Comment

Wonder if we’re going to get the same media outrage for a Democrat actually promoting violence that right-wingers get when the left only thinks they’re promoting violence.

Virginia’s Governor, Terry McAuliffe, said Thursday that he’d punch Trump so hard they’d have to “pick him up off the floor” if the president ever got “in his space.”

Appearing on Hard Ball with Chris Matthews, McCauliffe was asked what he would do if Trump ever leaned over him like he did with Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential debates.

From the Washington Examiner:

“What would you do in a debate with him if he tried that?” Mr. Matthews asked. “If he came over and leaned over back of you, what would you do?”

“You’d have to pick him up off the floor,” Mr. McAuliffe replied.

“OK,” the host said, laughing. “You mean you’d deck him?”

“Listen, this guy got in my space,” Mr. McAuliffe responded. “You want to get in my space? I’ve always said, Chris, ‘You punch me, I’m going to punch you back twice as hard.’ And it wouldn’t be hard to do it.

“This guy thinks he can intimidate everybody. It’s disgraceful. It’s embarrassing,” he added. “But if he ever came over and leaned on me and got in my space, that would be the last time Donald Trump ever did that, I promise you that.”

“You sound like an Irish-American politician,” Mr. Matthews said gleefully, adding that Mr. McAuliffe’s comments would undoubtedly “go viral.”

So here we have an elected official actually promoting the idea that he would harm the president if he got too close to him, and yet I haven’t seen anyone discuss this at all until I stumbled across the headline. Meanwhile, the left attempts to shame-walk people like NRA’s Dana Loesch through the street for use of the word “fisk” and claim she’s advocating for, not just violence, but sexual violence, against journalists. She did no such thing, but that mattered very little.

This is the same left that believes Sarah Palin caused the shooting of Gabby Giffords simply because she put a target over various cities to highlight various races where Democrat seats were vulnerable.

But apparently, advocating for punching the president gets absolutely no play in the media?

The left already lost any moral ground after Trump’s election when it, and its DNC leaders, promoted the violent domestic terrorist group Antifa. However, if the left will ignore McAuliffe’s blatant threat of violence, then it should drop all pretense about being horrified over Republican or right-wing tough talk.

That includes someone presumably calling another country a “sh*thole.”
