Unreal. Hawaii Emergency Management Office Had Password On Sticky Note In Newspaper Photo

Since Saturday, when residents and vacationers in Hawaii were falsely alerted there was an incoming missile attack headed their way, the state’s emergency management department has been under intense scrutiny.

The mistake that caused many on and off the island to panic has made many wonder how such a mistake was even possible, let alone allowed to go uncorrected for over a half-hour.

Sharp eyes discovered this week that in a photo taken in July, the emergency management office’s operations manager, Jeffrey Wong, is standing in front of a wall of computer monitors and on one is a sticky note with a computer’s password clearly written.

Writing down passwords on paper and keeping them in a secure place is one thing. In 2017, however, this is beyond negligent.

While it’s unlikely this exact computer was the one the false alarm was sent from, it does call into question the emergency management office’s security practices.

One would think 20-plus years into the internet age, people with access to sensitive systems would know better than to put their passwords on sticky notes attached to the computer they belong to.

If nothing else, Hawai’s false alarm has shown the United States (and the world) just how vulnerable we are to dumbassery.

This also shows how much the people have become dependent on our representatives to tell us what to do . In the news clips it is a fact that the people are totally lost ! The only man I saw with good sense was letting his daughter down a man hole , away from the blast and radiation . Another was hiding in a closet with food and water ! Really ??? People did not have control of their feelings . Sound the alarm again , I bet there will be many that have now thought out what needs to be done and will be taking better actions . I believe Trump knew how Obama had almost destroyed our country turning loose feelings as the thing everyone was to ride in and obey . Doctors are making gobs of money off our feelings . There comes a time when feelings should be put in your pocket and your mental process ( common sense ) should take over . This alarm proves my point ! The representatives had gone into the holes they dug with our tax dollars . They don’t want yo yo , up down , back and forth feeling people in the holes with them . They only pushed feelings to rob you using your fears , anger , depressed , sad , blue and whatever else feeling they could use to extort money from you . My dad used to tell me get a holt of your feelings before I get a holt of them for you ! I learned at a early age to get control of myself ! Go look at the news media video again . Those people were out of control with their feelings . They would trample you over should you get in their way ! I bet the next time will be different ! Trump you did a good thing if you had anything to do with it !
