Sarah Huckabee Sanders Schools White House Reporter After Calling Republicans Un-American

If you watched the State of the Union, you likely noticed Democrats staying completely stone-faced and stationary while Trump was announcing how the lives of the American people were improving, be it for higher wages and bonuses, or the elimination of ISIS.

Needless to say, it was not a good look for the Democrats, who seemed upset at the American people’s well being improving at the hands of someone they profess to hate, more than they were glad of the American people doing well at all in the first place.

Trump has pointed this out, calling the Democrats un-American for their inability to rise when they should have. For White House reporter April Ryan, this didn’t sit right since Republicans stay seated often during the speeches of Democrats all the time.

“What is so un-American about this, this year, after this has been going on for all of these years?” Ryan asked Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Sanders, however, pointed out the glaring difference between the two parties, noting that Democrats weren’t just sitting through the accomplishments of the Republican party, but through the good news of American advancement.

“I think its un-American not to be excited about the fact that more people in this country have jobs than they did before, the fact that more people in this country have higher wages than they did before, the fact that the economy is booming like it wasn’t before, the fact that ISIS is being crushed like it wasn’t before,” she flatly answered. “These are things that I don’t care what party you are from, these are things that every American should be excited about and be able to celebrate.”
