SHOCKER: House GOP takes 10 Month HIGH in the Polls!
It’s been a bumpy ride for Republicans this year, but sometimes the bumps jolt up. Shocking improvement for the GOP in the Generic Ballot this week!

The chart is just shooting up for the GOP. Having dropped to a pathetic low of 36.5 at the end of February, losing the entire bump they gained from the tax bill, they’ve managed another recovery.
As of today they’ve climbed all the way back up to 39.5. Having not hit 40 since June 2017, that’s a 9 month high. Paul Ryan, against all odds, seems to be making progress in winning Republicans back over, even as Trump’s approval remains in the dumpster.
The Generic Ballot has historically been a good predictor of midterm House results. Republicans were sky high in this poll in 2010, for example. Democrats have reason to be excited, but they will need to run up the score to take the House back.
