I hope, really hope, that Merkel understands what the Syrian Army is doing in the suburbs of Damascus is to ENSURE DOMESTIC SECURITY and make sure that Syrians have the right to it whenever they meet and move in a public space. I also hope that she understands ONLY the Syrian state has the monopoly of power.
