Chick-fil-A is a Christian Force to Be Reckoned With In the Fast Food Industry, Set to Overtake Big Brands

I don’t know a single person who doesn’t love Chick-fil-A. Even those who don’t like their Christian stances seem unable to resist the tastiness of their breakfast sandwiches.

Oddly enough, the people’s love of Chick-fil-A is so great that it’s quickly elevating the Atlanta based chain into the third most trafficked fast food location over Taco Bell, Burger King, and Wendy’s, placing just under McDonalds and Starbucks. This placement despite the fact that the chain is closed on Sundays due to the company’s unabashed Christian values.

It helps that the company has forward looking values, high quality customer service, and keeps a weather eye on the digital horizon. Chick-fil-A’s vice president David Farmer described the company’s approach to the customer as “[NASCAR] pit crew efficiency, but where you feel like you just got hugged in the process … We’d better not lose our edge relative to service and hospitality,” according to BuzzFeed.

But even beneath all of that, is the value that spurs all other values.

“To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A,” states Chick-fil-A’s corporate purpose.

Chick-fil-A has come up against some serious blowback for the company’s Christian underpinnings in 2012, including the mainstream media’s attempt to once mar the chain’s name by painting it has homophobic. What actually resulted was a booming increase in business as its fans and Christian base rallied around the restaurant in promotion.

Chick-fil-A’s support and expression of Christianity seems to be an overall boon for the company.

According to BuzzFeed, the company will likely take 3rd spot by 2020, with a Chick-fil-A spokesperson commenting simply “The trajectory we’re on would support that.”

Despite many businesses who face trouble for their Christian values, it turns out that having them ends up granting them a net gain.
