Connecticut Democrat Will Not Seek Reelection

Last week Redstate covered the scandal surrounding Connecticut Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty and her staff. It had been made public that Esty was unaware of abuse in her office and once she was made aware it took her 3 months to fire her accused chief-of-staff but the cherry in top this is her helping him get a new job with The Ohio branch Sandy Hook Promise’s.

Well, all that has led to her announcing that she will not seek reelection for her congressional seat in 2018. Even in her disgraceful exit there is the double-standard. She will be allowed to quietly fade away into obscurity.

The #MeToo movement sets a clear precedent with there muted response to these allegations. You can quietly slip out the back when caught covering up sexual assault and harassment just make sure you have the right party affiliation in front of your name.
