Senator John McCain from Arizona has a book coming out “The Restless Wave” and it sounds like he is going to settle some scores as he fights brain cancer.

Yesterday it was covered here that he did not want current President of The United States, Donald Trump at his funeral. Report: When He Passes, John McCain Doesn’t Want Trump At His Funeral

Now comes the predictable shot that IF he could do it all over again, he would not have picked former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. How novel.

Arizona GOP Senator John McCain said Saturday he’s sorry he chose then-Alaska governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate in the presidential race he lost to Barack Obama.

He told the New York Times that if he could do it over he would have picked former Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut.

Lieberman told The Times that he hadn’t known McCain felt that way. “It touched me greatly,” he said.

I do understand why McCain would not want Trump at the funeral. They both at times act like ill-mannered children with a biting wit. Trump getting the last word at the funeral would probably bug McCain for….eternity.

Former President Bush 43 is a bit of a surprise being John didn’t really like him all that much either being Bush beat him in 2000 for the GOP nomination. The Bush-McCain Love-Hate Relationship

Yet I’m not sure why he would take the shot at Palin. From what I recall she has been loyal to him and grateful for elevating her to the national level since 2008. Seems uncalled for or just a way to sell books.

Whatever the reason, this will be the buzz of the talk shows and interwebs as John McCain takes his final bow on the national stage and whatever else is revealed I hope he finds peace.

Just a reminder though, McCain may regret Palin being HIS pick in 2008 but a lot of people in the GOP grassroots felt the same way about him being the (R) pick in that election.
