Babylon Bee is Hitting a Little Too Close to Home on Chick-Fil-A and Leftist Naziism

Many of you have no doubt come across the surprisingly good Christian satire site BabylonBee.com. Lately, the absurdist sense of humor offered by the Bee has hit a little too close to the dry truth of things.

It’s a scary place we’ve reached where extreme satire is hardly distinguishable from reality.

On June 12th, BB ran the story “House Democrats Draft Legislation That Would Make It A Hate Crime To Eat At Chick-Fil-A.”

To quote the Bee:

“WASHINGTON, D.C.—Under intense pressure from their left-leaning constituents to do something about the dangerous, Christian-founded restaurant chain, Democrats in the House of Representatives unveiled legislation Tuesday that would make it a hate crime to eat at Chick-fil-A.”

The article goes on to describe the judicial penalty for breaking the left-wing law:

“The CFAHATE Act Of 2018 would make it a hate crime punishable by federal law to dine at the restaurant or use its drive-thru, with extra punishments for people who post that they’re eating at the restaurant on their social media accounts. The legislation would also impose heftier penalties for anyone who patronizes the extremist hate group’s chicken sandwich establishments during Pride Month.”

This is the lunacy of the Left’s real-world assault on businesses owners who civilly have viewpoints different than their own.

“‘We want people making fast-food dining choices to think carefully about a restaurant’s background,’ House Minority Leader and bill co-sponsor Nancy Pelosi said in a video posted to her official YouTube account. ‘If a restaurant’s leadership is associated with Christian values in any way, frequenting their locations amounts to literal violence against minorities, women, and the LGBTQ+ community.’”

Bizarrely, it’s easy to imagine Pelosi saying exactly that.

A June 13th Bee story trumpets, “Gay Man Bravely Comes Out As Fan Of Chick-Fil-A.”

The Bee champions a very special liberation:

“SAN DIEGO, CA—Saying he couldn’t hide his true self from the world any longer, local gay man Mark Porter bravely came out of the closet as a die-hard fan of popular fast-food chain Chick-fil-A Wednesday.

“After years of “living in the shadows” within the hostile gay community, Porter finally summoned the courage to publicly identify as a Chick-fil-A patron. Sitting his family down and taking a deep breath, the man courageously declared his innate, unchangeable fast-food orientation.”

The drama builds:

“‘This is who I am,’ he said, holding back tears. ‘I was simply born with an innate desire to consume delicious chicken sandwiches. I have no control over this impulse. I didn’t ask for this.’”

Indeed.

The Nazi-like war against thought is alive and well and exemplified by the leftist uproar just days ago when Jack Dorsey — CEO of Twitter — “ignited a backlash online,” according to Business Insider.

Again, “IGNITED” — by simply eating at Chick-Fil-A. Eating a sandwich. Oh, and during the holiday of Pride Month.

Former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien called out Dorsey on Twitter.

What’s far more unbelievable is that Dorsey capitulated.

So, a company’s “background” should determine whether you patron them.

As covered by RedState’s Brandon Morse earlier today, HuffPost ran a story Tuesday titled, “If You Really Love LGBTQ People, You Just Can’t Keep Eating Chick-fil-A.”

The Bee is getting so accurate, I fear they may be prophetic. That makes me especially scared, due to this BB headline: “Pastor Asks Congregation To Shake Hands With Literally Every Other Person On Earth Before Service Can Continue.”

My own personal worst church nightmare.
