Twitter’s Jack Dorsey Pays the Price For Eating At the Wrong Restaurant

One of the things that social media has done is convinced millions of people that sharing where they are and what they are doing with the world is normal. On Saturday, the progressive crypto-fascist who runs Twitter, Jack Dorsey, was in Los Angeles. He had lunch and did what you might expect the head of Twitter to do. He tweeted his experience.

Whoa. Chick-fil-A. The outlet that united all the deviants in NYC, of all genders, in opposing its opening. Not only did Dorsey buy food at Chick-fil-A, which notoriously supports families that are composed of a man and a woman and (eventually) children he did it during “Gay Pride Month.” (Eventually we’re going to have to add months to the calendar to accommodate all the aggrieved groups.) And Twitter, being Twitter, let him know that his Wrongness was noted.

Soledad O’Brien’s objection is rather charming in light of the fact she’s been paid by Chick-fil-A to speak at one of their conferences.

Dorsey’s pathetic, gutless and reflexive apology is a reminder of just how endangered free speech and individual autonomy are under attack. Because, on its merits, Chick-fil-A is a much more socially conscious business than any of the big tech companies.

When a billionaire can be shamed into submission for buying chicken sandwiches at a chain run by Christians in a Christian manner, we should all get ready to head to the (figurative) barricades.

I am just floored by this exchange.

Reporter: “Um, Jack. They hold Christian views about marriage.”

Jack: “Oh man. My bad. I forgot. RETRACTED!”
