Today, the ‘Unite the Right 2′ rally took place in Washington, D.C., but Mother Nature put a damper on all paticipants, with rain blanketing the event and keeping tempers cool.

Washington, D.C.has been gearing up for the second ‘Unite the Right’ rally which will be held in front of the White house. Jason Kessler, the rally organizer, was looking to hold the rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, for the second year in a row. After after difficulties in court, Kessler withdrew his request and figured the White House would suit the Alt-Right. One year ago today, the ‘Unite the Right’ rally occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The 2017 Charlottesville ‘Unite the Right’ rally was marred after a Nazi Germany sympathizer, James Alex Fields Jr, drove a car into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer and injuring more than a dozen others. Fields was later charged with first-degree murder following the attack.
