Betsy DeVos - The anonymous NYTs Op Ed source - The Prismfiles

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Speculation is swirling as to who the anonymous author of a New York Times Op Ed piece is. After a thorough review of past writings of senior officials within the Trump administration, everything seems to point to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.

Betsy DeVos has been taking some heat lately due to her position of guns in schools and her positon on campus sexual misconduct rules.

I imagine that being under such duress, she felt it necessary to try and divert this unwanted attention from her and back on president Trump.

During the Republican Party presidential primaries for the 2016 election, DeVos initially donated to Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina before eventually supporting Marco Rubio. In March 2016, DeVos described Donald Trump as an “interloper” and said that he “does not represent the Republican Party”.

* An interloper is a person who becomes involved in a place or situation where they are not wanted or are considered not to belong.

In the Op Ed, the author writes, “It may be cold comfort in this chaotic era, but Americans should know that there are adults in the room. We fully recognize what is happening. And we are trying to do what’s right even when Donald Trump won’t.”

Doesn’t this sound familiar when the “author “specifically states, “but Americans should know that there are adults in the room.”

In other words, Trump is an interloper!

But that’s not all. Devos own writings give her away. In a memo that she wrote to the Honorable Bobby Scott on Aug 31st 2018, Devos begins a sentence by stating, “Let me be clear”.

In March, 2017 Betsy DeVos’ prepared remarks to the Brookings Institution. During her remarks, she begins by stating, “Let me be clear”.

In the Op Ed piece provided by the New York Times, the author begins a sentence by stating, “To be clear.”

After resigning from her position of the Chair of the Michigan Republican Party in 2000, Devis began by stating, “It is clear.”

Coincidence?

Also in the Op Ed piece, the author gives high praise to Senator MCCain by stating, “We may no longer have Senator McCain. But we will always have his example — a lodstar for restoring honor to public life and our national dialogue. Mr. Trump may fear such honorable men, but we should revere them.”

On Betsy DeVos twitter feed, she specifically praises former Senator John McCain by writing, “SenJohnMcCain was the definition of a true American hero & embodied what it means to put country first. This was just one of 3 tweets that praised McCain.

DeVos is not a Trump loyalist and never has been. She even refused to express support for Trump even when he was announced as the Republican presidential candidate.

After reviewing the entire Op Ed piece, it is obvious that this “anonymous” writer believes he / she along with their supposed resistance counter parts own the moral high ground. This is quite evident when the author states, “The root of the problem is the president’s amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making.”

Amorality is defined as the absence of, indifference towards, or disregard for morality. Morality and amorality in humans and animals is a subject of dispute among scientists and philosophers.

After comparing writing styles and past statements made by Betsy DeVos, it is my belief that she is the anonymous author everyone is searching for. Thanks for reading.
