After waiting longer than any other POTUS in 100 years, Joe Biden gives his first solo presser

(INTELLIHUB) — President Joe Biden spoke Thursday morning from behind the White House press room pulpit, marking the commander-in-chief’s first solo press conference since being sworn into office in January. However, just one day prior, Biden didn’t appear to know he was giving a press conference, as Fox News pointed out in an evening segment. 

On the eve of Thursday’s press conference, a member of the press core asked President Biden: “How are you getting ready for the press conference?” That’s when the president replied: “What press conference?”

“What press conference,” Biden asked on Wednesday after being questioned about the upcoming conference at the White House.

Zero Hedge’s Tyler Durden points out: “While this was played down as a comedic response, the video suggests he was at least confused to start…”

“Given that Biden’s handlers have desperately kept him away from reporters for two months, it will be interesting to see what on earth he comes out with when he can’t be pulled away from the cameras,” Durden writes. “…the question is, will Biden be “circling back” with anyone?”

It’s also worth pointing out that Biden gave the presser on his 64th day in office. This is literally the longest any president has waited to address the nation in over 100 years.
