Should Jan Six be a Holiday?

We just passed an anniversary of January 6 couple of weeks ago. You remember Jan 6? When a bunch of people sauntered through the capital? There were a couple of boneheads, a couple of incidents, but…insurrection? Huh!

And when characters from such groups as Antifa and BLM were pointed at for actually inciting to riot, those people were ignored and their alleged crimes swept under the rug.

So, lest we forget, let’s consider a few facts.

Joe Biden, the current pres, wanted to beat up then President Trump. I wonder if the Secret Service talked to him about threats against the president? Hmm.

Maxine Waters, one of my faves, lives in a mansion in a poor town and she is for the people, and she is caught on film actually inciting to riot. But I guess we can’t charge politicians for crimes, especially if their name starts with ‘Democrat.’

Another fave, Kathy Griffin, if I may make a foray into ‘comedians,. holds up the severed head of Pres Trump. Oh, man, that was funny, wasn’t it? Those comedians really understand comedy, don’t they?

Jimmy Kimmel is another fellow, I’m not sure if he’s actually a comedian, but he likes to joke about assassinating the pres. But only if the president’s name is Trump. Nice guy. I suppose he gets along well with Johnny Depp, another assassinado.

Snoop Dog, goes one better, however. He makes a video about assassinating the president. Snoop, whose name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Junior, was convicted of felony drug possession and possession for sale (of cocaine), but was acquitted of a murder charge. Lucky him.

I guess these people have never heard of United States Code Title 18, Section 871. Which makes ‘any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict great bodily harm upon the President of the United States’ a federal felony.

But it’s not just individuals and  politicians, in spite of Cory Booker wanting to punch the former pres in the face, and Rashida Tlaib, who calls him a motherfu***, who are routinely breaking the law. It’s also entire groups.

Antifa routinely attacks, sometimes physically, Repubs and conservs.

BLM wants cops dead and ‘fry them like bacon.’

Congress itself refuses to confront Ilham Omar for anti-American remarks and for anti-Semitic remarks.

And it is reported that ‘The Squad’ actually supports terrorists!

From AOC calling Border Patrol personnel Nazis to a Representative being shot by a democratic supporter, the left has proven that they are actually the party of insurrection, and probably guilty of a number of crimes that could be construed as treason.

So, let’s consider Jan Six. It is not an insurrection, it is more like a peaceful protest, with a few idiots on the side. A statement that ‘We the People’ are tired of the ways things are going. And if it causes that much consternation among the real insurrectionists, perhaps it is time to consider celebrating this day as a holiday.
