Video: Inside an RAF Tornado Enroute to Attack

A crew member from the rear seat of a British Tornado films a potion of a flight on their way to attack Libyan forces, but not before inching up to get a drink of midair fuel.

British Tornado took part in co-ordinated strikes on Thursday on armoured vehicles belonging to Gaddafi’s forces which threatening civilians in the strategic eastern town of Ajdabiya.

The aircraft flew from Gioia del Colle air base in south-eastern Italy, returning to base this morning. They are expected to fly more sorties over Libya today.

Ajdabiya has been under siege for more than a week, with rebels trying to hold the city centre while being besieged by government troops.

William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, said on Thursday that British aircraft have flown 59 missions over Libya in their efforts to enforce a no-fly zone and to protect civilians from Gaddafi’s attacks.
