Lynne Stewart-PATRIOT ACTS – Crimes Against Humanity

The violations of the right to counsel have gone far beyond the extreme behavior of Judge Julius Hoffman in his mistreatment of attorneys representing the Chicago Seven

What crime did Lynne Steward commit?  She  did her job as an attorney and represented her client.  She was true to the Sixth Amendment and a true Patriot.  Now she will probably die for being a good American and attorney.  Lynne Stewart has cancer and needs treatment and a positive experience to help her heal.  She has been denied the right to surgery within a reasonable period.  This surgery is necessary to stop the disease from progressing and this has resulted in stage four cancer. She has ten pounds of shackles when seeing a doctor and is chained to a hospital bed when in the hospital.  This mistreatment is tantamount to a death sentence as it seriously risks Lynne’s life and has endangered her health.  She committed no  crime but  the effective result is she has been sentenced to death.

A petition aims to save Lynne’s life.   Americans have continued protesting but have received no justice.   The currently has over 3500 signatures.

Courts authorize domestic batterers to kill their victims.

Ruth H was tortured by her husband and got a permanent restraining order against him.  Listen to her cry for help jsut before her violent husband reached around her neck and began to choke her.  The couple’s own daughter screams in horror.   The perpetrator knows how to use the system. He used it to prevent the screaming child from freeing herself from his torture after she managed to get away to safety.  He informed the girl he plans to kill her.  At times, the husband held a knife to the daughter’s throat and threatened to kill her if she and the wife didn’t behave.  He beat the wife bloody so many times that doctors kept calling the police with no arrests being made. The wife had to watch her mother and dogs die as a result of abuse the courts allowed the husband to inflict in disregard of an earlier restraining order.  The man has admitted to killing numerous pets.  He sometimes photographed his crimes to show he was above the law. The death of the wife’s loved ones wasn’t enough revenge for the husband. He cut his wife’s health care and prevented her from having heart surgery. Her doctors have said stress could kill her but he forces her to face him and his attack dog lawyer as often as he can. Her permanent restraining order against him provides only partial protection from  non-judicial executions. The husband disregards it and stalks the wife continuously. Law enforcement told the wife to write notes about the violations. The stress of facing her torturer is so severe that doctors have written in medical records that the victim could die from a heart attack if stress from the proceedings is not . eliminated. This warning did not stop the judge from authorizing the man to subject the wife to unlimited depositions. Two weeks ago the paramedics arrived in the nick of time and rushed her from the court to the hospital. The doctors worked to normalize her heart and save her. The wife prepares to die as she knows the next proceeding or deposition could be the final event of her life. She is given no out for survival. Her husband has the power to kill her. She has no rights to survive under the rules of the Lamoreaux Injustice Center.

Her case is not isolated.  It is not the worst judicial execution of a domestic violence victim at the Larmoreaux Courthouse in the City of Orange. The case number above is 10D003328. The wife has pointed out it is only one of many injustices where violent men are allowed to bring about the deaths of their abused spouses The Orange County Superior Court presiding judge is Thomas J. Borris. Send them a message. Stop the killing. Women deserve a chance to live. Women should not have to die from illegal injustices.

Death Penalty- Troy Davis & Kevin Cooper and other Innocent Death Row Inmates

Troy Davis was executed on September 21, 1211 by the State of Georgia. The witnesses against him redacted their statements. He claimed his innocence until the end.  Listen to the recording of his last words.

His last words:
 ”I’d like to address the MacPhail family. Let you know, despite the situation you are in, I’m not the one who personally killed your son, your father, your brother. I am innocent.  The incident that happened that night is not my fault. I did not have a gun.   All I can ask is that you look deeper into this case so that you really can finally see the truth.  
“I ask my family and friends to continue to fight this fight.
“For those about to take my life, God have mercy on your souls. And may God bless your souls.”

Judge William A. Fletcher wrote in his  101-page dissenting opinion in the Kevin Cooper case that “the State of California may be about to execute an innocent man.”  Kevin Cooper could be the next death row victims in California.  Will Jerry Brown execute an innocent man?   With a stoke of the pen Jerry could end the executions of innocent men and women in California.

The Death Penalty Information Center notes, “There is no way to tell how many of the over 1,000 people executed since 1976 may also have been innocent. Courts do not generally entertain claims of innocence when the defendant is dead. Defense attorneys move on to other cases where clients’ lives can still be saved.” 

Courts are actively allowing the executions of the innocent.  Direct executions of They allow innocent don’t fill enough coffins for the justices..They go further.They allow the state to execute attorneys for defending their clients and allow violent husbands to execute women they have tortured. There is no hope for the innocent in the absence of new legislation to end the status quo.
