Who Are The Illuminati?

It should seem obvious they’re a group of elites bent on world domination. Who are they? Is it the Pope and the cardinals of the Catholic Church? Is it powerful families such as the Rothschilds or Rockefellers? That question could be answered with where are they? Not which group has taken responsibility. Not why hasn’t any group come forward. But how do we know they even exist? Where are they? In order to know they exist, we need to know where they are. And so far, the proof of existence is not forthcoming.

This is how secret the Illuminati is, maintains conspiracy theorists. The Illuminati is so secretive, yet so powerful, that the control all of the world’s information remains to disassociate them from world affairs. Skeptics who joke about the Illuminati’s reach may discount the groups presence based on the presupposed affiliates. This group doesn’t just contain politicians and businessmen, it contains movie stars and rap artists. This, skeptics claim, is silly. Yet, to infiltrate the public’s mind, the all pervasive secret society would have to normalize their concepts somehow. Who wouldn’t react to a disruption in their lives? So it would be in the Illuminati’s best interest to not be detected, while secretly plotting world domination.

Many people suppose that even if there are secret societies, they’re not as menacing, powerful or all-encompassing as the conspiracy theorists make them out to be. Secret societies have existed throughout the world, in both ancient and modern time. It was not uncommon for secret societies to go underground to avoid persecution for their often times radical ideas. Even Christianity at one point was considered to be a secret society (by the Roman government). And many have turned out to be nothing more than college fraternities and gentleman’s clubs. So what’s the truth? Is this a harmless group or a powerfully menacing entity?
