Ernest Keith Skillicorn A.M. Earns Membership With Stanford Who’s Who

ADELAIDE, SA, AUSTRALIA,   March 18, 2013 /Stanford Who’s Who/– An extraordinary executive in the nonprofit sector with over six decades of diverse professional experience, Ernest Keith Skillicorn A.M., known as “Keith”,  has enjoyed an enormously successful career filled with several significant accomplishments, leading to his recognition in the distinguished network of prominent professionals with Stanford Who’s Who.

Throughout his phenomenal professional career, Ernest Keith Skillicorn has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the elite as well as to experience a tremendous amount of success in all of his professional endeavors.

Drawing upon his wealth of knowledge in the field, Mr. Skillicorn currently serves as a Promotional Officer for the Mother’s Love Welfare Centre (India), which operates through Satyameva Jayate Ministries as a nonprofit organization that specializes in providing services for the disadvantaged, disabled, and destitute people of India. The organization offers pre and postnatal obstetrical care for women in poor communities as well as food, clothing, and training for homeless and jobless individuals and medical assistance for low income families. Keith says, “We also provide assistance to abused women, widows, orphans, abandoned children, and victims of Shariah Law.”

Also of interest to Satyameva Jayate Ministries is the Netaji Memorial Orphanage and Residential School in Ghaghra, Gumla District, Jharkhand, India, which is an institution that provides shelter and education for up to six hundred boys and girls who come from disadvantaged families. They provide these orphaned and abandoned children with the love and care that they need and deserve while constantly acquiring funding in order to expand the institution, adding classrooms, dormitories and staff.

Under the banner of Satyameva Jayate Ministries, they also have an international outreach to those interested in Islam. Keith shares, “They offer free tutorials to educate people concerning the nature of the ideology. They are against the medieval ideology that threatens death against all would-be reformers who dare to tamper with the text to make it less violent.”

After studying for four years in a theological seminary and serving as an electrical technician in the Royal Australian Air Force, Ernest traveled to India with his late wife Ruth in 1951 in order to serve as a missionary in community development, adult literacy, and leprosy control. Although now in “retirement”, he still reaches out to people affected by Leprosy – or those who think they may have leprosy – via the Internet – that they may be expertly diagnosed by leprosy trained doctors in their part of the world.

Since retirement in 1988, Keith visits India annually, working for the people of India, doing his best to ensure that those in need are taken care of. All of Keith’s magnificent work led to both him and his late wife, Ruth receiving the Award of Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 1988 due to their Management of Leprosy and Agricultural Development in India and Bangladesh.

During the 31 years Keith served in India, he established the “Agricultural Community Development Project”, an indigenous NGO that gained registration under the Societies Act of 1860.  In 2012, Ernest Keith Skillicorn reached the state level (South Australia), as a finalist in the “Senior Australian of the Year” award, which is quite an honor.
