Wellll, let’s start with the reading of over 6000 name connected with gun violence. I believe that if citizens were not armed to the extent they are that number would be hugely inflated. Without an armed populace the thugs born as a result of this country’s welfare system would have a heyday.
I am, in the interest of fairness, sorry that she didn’t make the point that most of the deaths from that gun violence was the result of the liberal programs that exclude fathers from the homes of inner city youths. Those youths, as a result of LBJ’s war on poverty programs, grow up without fathers to steer them into proper and socially accepted behavior roles.
I would wager that if she was asked she would approve of LBJ’s programs. She, then, becomes part of the problem just as much as that unwed mother pumping out kids to inflate her monthly check.
Now lets deal with the mass killings that these mentally deranged persons commit. In years gone by those exhibiting signs of mental disease were institutionalized where they couldn’t hurt themselves or others. Then, during the 60′s Kunstler style lawyers made a buck out of convincing gullible judges that crazy people didn’t belong in institutions and should be allowed to sleep on your doorstep, defecate in public and kill your kids at their whim. They had their rights. I would bet that if you asked Ms. Maddow if she approved of letting insane people roam free she would assent.
Then she goes on to denigrate those who are suspicious of the government stockpiling weapons and ammunition without giving good reason for doing so (are there any good reasons?) as silly and stupid. She is saying “we can trust our government”. I’m not sure if she has been keeping up with the news lately but if she is going on that supposition she really needs to turn on FOX news now and again to get the real story.
Finally, the reason that people’s confidence in congress has fallen as low as it has, I would argue, is due to people like Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer and their ilk who are kings of the bait and switch.
We need look no further than the criminal illegal alien legislation that is making its way through congress right now. We were promised once again that these criminals would not be legitimized until after the border was secure. This will then become the last time that the democratic voter rolls will be inflated using illegals.
What have we learned in the last week? Sure, border security will have to wait until after we give the taxpayers who will be funding these criminals the bum’s rush and legalize the vagrants. Most of us are astute enough to see what is happening to those we send to DC to represent us. The become stooges of whomever can come up with the most money to buy their vote.
