A Virtual Home for Diehard Fans of the Sacramento Kings Offered Through New Exclusive Sacramento Internet Service

Imagine an Internet service that is just offered to diehard basketball fans. Fans would be able to gather, exchange emails, talk on forums, and even become head coaches of fictional teams. That is exactly what is being offered by a new exclusive Sacramento Internet service.

“Basketball fans are a rare group of individuals”, explained the CEO of the Internet company, Johnny Tall. “They are extremely loyal and they love to talk about their sport. I was thinking there needs to be an exclusive area where these individuals could meet. It is like a secret hideout for basketball fans.”

The Sacramento Internet service will be available by invitation only. People who would like to have access to the Internet will either have to be invited by someone who is in the ‘secret club’ or they will have to complete the complex application process.

“We need to know these people are diehard fans of the Sacramento Kings”, said the CEO. “We have an application process that is extremely tough. People have to show us that they are a diehard fan. We do not just take their word for it. There are essays, photos, and an interview process.”

The application process seemed strict to a recent individual who signed up for the service, but it appeared to be well worth it in the end. The local newspaper was able to get an interview with this individual, but he wished to remain anonymous.

“I love this super secret club”, said the individual. “I worked really hard to become a part of it and it is a point of pride for me. Yes, it took a lot of work, but there are benefits – faster Internet, a place to gather, and a group of friends who really care for you. It was well worth it.”

It is uncertain just how many people will be invited to this small clubhouse. The Sacramento Internet service did not discuss that factor.

“We do not know what our limit will be”, said the CEO. “We will play it by ear. What we do know is this is extremely popular and we have had several other cities contact us so they can set up similar Internet services. It will be amazing to see this grow.”

Currently, there is estimated to be about 700 individuals a part of this beta project, but that number will grow over the next few months.
