Spa and Massages Offered by Local Calgary Hotels for Santa Reindeer Hope to Increase Tourists

Traveling around the world and getting gifts to children can be extremely tiring, especially for the reindeer. That is why a group of local children want to extend an offer to any reindeer that helped Santa. They want to offer an all expense paid spa day for the reindeer.

“Santa gets cookies and milk, but the reindeer get nothing and they do all the work”, said one of the children who planned the day. “We want to offer a full day at one of the luxurious Calgary hotels for the reindeer and their keepers. We know that Santa leaves the reindeer in good hands after Christmas.”

The children have spent all year saving money up for this event. They want to offer top-of-the-line food, massages and spa treatments from the best names in the vet business. They also want to make sure that the hotel is reimbursed for any expenses that they acquire as a result of housing and holding these reindeer.

“We have saved money, held bake sales, and sold some of the games/toys we do not use”, said Timmy, a child who helped with the event. “We think this is the least we can do for the reindeer.”

Parents of the children put up a forum posting to anyone who may have reindeer on their farm. They invited them to join this rare reindeer spa date.

“It might be hard to find people with reindeer, but we think people will respond to this unique request from the children”, explained on of the parents. “We even think that it might help to increase tourist activity in the area. People will want to visit the Calgary hotels to see all the reindeer gathered. They will want to be a part of this historic date.”

So far, approximately 10 people have responded to the ad and are planning on bringing at least 20 reindeer to the event. The reindeer will be given unique Christmas names and the children will be able to offer them their spa date.

“This is all about the children”, said one of the individuals who volunteered to bring 2 reindeer from his farm. “I want to see them happy. They got it in their head they would do this for their local economy and various Calgary hotels, and they will. The least I can do is bring some reindeer to celebrate the event. It is a story that I will share with my entire family that is for sure.”
