Would the Lost City of Atlantis Still be Lost If Heat Pumps Existed? Some Say No.

The mystery surrounding the lost city of Atlantis is one that has many people all over the world scratching their heads. No one knows exactly why this city is ‘lost’ or even if it really existed, but it has captured the attention of thousands, if not millions, of people all over the world.

Today, a new theory was released by a local historian. This historian suggests that the beloved city of Atlantis would not have been lost if it had been able to incorporate heat pumps into their building structure.

“Of course, heat pumps were not around back then”, explained Christian Hill, a historian. “However, it is my belief from my studies that if there was a heating element that was similar to heat pumps incorporated into the city structure, the city would not have collapsed under the water.”

The theory that has been suggested by Christian Hill is that the heat generated by the heat pumps would have prevented the ground below the city from cracking. If the ground had not cracked, the city would not have sunk.

“If the city had never sunk, we would still have this magnificent city today”, said Christian Hill. “I have spent years studying why it sank, what could have happened, and what might have prevented this tragedy from happening. I am certain heat, from heat pumps could have solved it.”

Christian Hill, to show his point, has created a CGI recreation of how the city would have collapsed under the water. It shows that the heat generated from such a heating system would have kept it afloat and not let it sink.

There are skeptics though. Many people believe that Christian Hill is just trying to generate publicity for his latest book.

“There is no way the city of Atlantis could have been saved”, said an anonymous commenter. “There is just no way a simple heat pump could have saved it. It is a silly theory, I do not believe it.”

Christian Hill plans on taking his theory on the road. He will host over 50 different lectures in major cities across the country. Those lectures will discuss his theories and hopefully renew people’s interest in the lost city of Atlantis.

“I really want a whole new generation of people to get excited about the city”, said Hill. “I think this lecture series is the way to do it. Plus, I get to showcase my new theory to people, which will be wonderful.”
