Body: Delta Shooting Complex at the Delta Resort & Spa in Tillar, AR introduces the Scholarship Shootout Series. Designed with youth shooters in mind, the Series awards top clays shooters with valuable funding for college. Open to graduating high school seniors and underclassmen, the Series kicks off with a star-studded clinic featuring certified master shooters, including World Champion Dan Carlisle. Dan is known throughout the shooting world as a 2-time Olympian and Medalist, 4-time Pan American Champion, 13-time Main Event National Champion and the only shooter to make the All-American Teams for ATA, NSSA, NSCA, USSCA, SCA. It’s no wonder that Dan’s signature Carlisle Triangle Method is well known as the premier clay shooting teaching program. Dan and his team of over 20 master shooters, make up the Gold Medal Shooting Academy which now makes its second home at the Delta Shooting Complex, giving shooters of all ages in Arkansas access to the program.

The Scholarship Shootout Series is a point-based competition where competitors score for both participation and targets hit. Every youth participant will attend a mandatory GMSA | Delta Clinic where master shooters train and evaluate each shooter during a oneday course. “This training is a game changer” said Barry Kelly, General Manager at Delta Shooting Complex. “Everyone who goes through a GMSA | Delta Clinic comes out with a new approach to the break zone, hold point, speed, and mental game.” Ranking will determine the level that each shooter is placed for the competitive portion of the series. The competitors will face multiple shooting disciplines during the tournaments including: Olympic Bunker Trap, Sporting Clays, ATA Trap and Skeet.

Gary Gibbs, owner of Delta Resort & Spa and avid youth shooting supporter commented, “We love to see the drive and focus that is so apparent in these young shooters. We’re here to offer these kids a valuable training opportunity and the possibility of financial support as they continue their shooting sports activities into their college years.”

Registration for the Scholarship Shootout Series, which includes the GMSA | Delta Clinics, is now open. There’s even a Coaches Clinic starting June 9.
