(IndustrialPR.net) Ebnat-Kappel – The Swiss sensor manufacturer, Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG, acquires Freiburg im Breisgau based Jobst Technologies GmbH and strengthens its position in the market for bio and chemical sensors. Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG located in Ebnat-Kappel in Switzerland, acquires Jobst Technologies GmbH. Jobst Technologies was founded in 2002 by Gerhard Jobst, Isabella Moser and Prof. Gerald Urban, from the chair of sensors at Freiburg’s University Department of Microsystems Engineering.
Jobst Technologies holds a long history of landmark developments in the field of bio analytical microsystems such as biosensor arrays for medical applications and biotechnology. “We have been working with IST AG for many years already and know the company well. We are convinced that the acquisition will be beneficial for both parties and that the development of further reliable and innovative sensors will benefit the customers and strengthen both companies in the future.
