The Oberheiden Law Group PLLC, a Dallas-based national law firm, announces that former Department of Justice prosecutor Lynette S. Byrd will be the new head of the firm’s Employment Practice Group.

“Lynette is a passionate advocate and a strong leader,” says Dr. Nick Oberheiden, founder of the Oberheiden Law Group PLLC. “Lynette’s government and private practice experience is very unique and a perfect fit to take over this position. She has handled a large number of complicated employment matters and our clients trust her. Lynette is a first choice when it comes to competent leadership in areas such as wrongful termination, retaliation and discrimination litigation, matters arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, or the Americans with Disabilities Act.”

Before joining the Oberheiden Law Group PLLC, Ms. Byrd served the U.S. Attorney’s Office as a federal prosecutor. During her tenure as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ms. Byrd pursued the interests of the United States in a variety of civil and criminal matters. Prior to her government position, Ms. Byrd was an associate at a leading international law firm and litigated complex employment disputes in Texas state courts and a number of federal district courts across the country.

The Oberheiden Law Group PLLC is a boutique law firm with headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Former Department of Justice prosecutors Michael C. Elliott and Lynette S. Byrd, litigator Elizabeth K. Stepp, Pascual C. Meyer, and Dr. Nick Oberheiden represent clients in employment law matters.
