Announcing Buddha Belly Kids Yoga Legacy Camp: Ascension Summer Yoga

Registration is officially open for the second annual Buddha Belly Kids Yoga Legacy Camp. Buddha Belly Kids Yoga, a Chicago based mobile kids yoga company, will host their second season of summer camp at Ascension School in Oak Park, IL. Preschool through 5th grade students will participate in a two-hour camp format featuring 45-60 minutes of yoga followed by daily art experiences with take home projects.

Legacy Sports Camp in Oak Park allows elementary school children to learn proper techniques in individual and team settings while instilling positive character traits in these young athletes. Yoga for kids is the perfect balance to a high-energy sports camp. The juxtaposition of these two companies could not align more perfectly.
“Partnering with Legacy Sports Camp last summer was the best thing we ever did,” explains Erin Bracco, co-founder of BBKY. “Dan Kane, owner of Legacy Sports Camp, entrusted us to add a unique component to his thriving camp concept. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to bring yoga and mindfulness to the children and families of Oak Park.”

One parent of a Legacy Yoga camper reflects, “My daughter got a yoga mat for her birthday. She was up very early the next morning. Thank you for positively influencing my sweet little girl. She really does love it. What a powerful tool for a six year old to have. Confidence in her body and self.”

Yoga is all fun and games with these busy, big, and bendy kids! Yoga is about building confidence and self-awareness through thematic classes. Each session intertwines movement with co-created poses, partner yoga, stretching, storybooks, games, and FUN! Every class ends with relaxation and guided meditation. The focus is on finding the magic of yoga while increasing strength and flexibility.
