CITC USA’S EXERCISE PROGRAMME IN DUBAI 5 MONTHS ON

An initiative by 3 young businessmen, CITC USA’s exercise programme launched in JLT Dubai. Here is a closer look after 5 months in operation.

In a bid to promote healthy living and increased activity amongst their employees, 3 men were entrusted with the responsibility of introducing an exercise programme within the company. 5 months on, this has proven to be quite successful with a steady number of people having continuously attended the programme thus also leading to a better quality of work. The purpose behind this initiative was to relieve their employees from the stressful nature of logistics in Dubai with benefits to both body and mind.

Needless to say, exercise is necessary for the healthy functioning of any human being. Our bodies were meant to move and workout, something that has gotten lost somewhere within our office cubicles. Logistics is one of the most demanding industries out there, and even for those who are constantly on the move such as in companies like McMaster in Dubai, it can be unhealthy to simply go back and forth from office and home only. Engaging in an exercise routine will pump your body with adrenaline and energy which depletes quite quickly in fields such as this.

‘The 21st century is a miraculous time to be alive; just look around you! We have everything we could possibly ever need and quite conveniently so as well. There is one major flaw in our population though and that is poor health. We’ve somehow achieved skyscrapers and all sorts of other accomplishments, yet along the way we’ve forgotten to take care of ourselves which is quite absurd if you think about it. Your body needs to exercise, it needs to be given a good workout if you want to live long and healthy. Which is why as those who work with logistics in Dubai, we assigned 3 wonderful people, Ryan Delgado, Bonny Mathew and Kęstutis Sakalauskas to lead the exercise programme at CITC Dubai.
