Israel To Receive Temple Mount

Most Jews and Christians already know that Israel will build their 3^rd temple. But the things people wonder about is how will everything come about for this to happen.

One of the major obstacles in the way is the Muslim mosque called the Dome of the Rock, which sits on the Temple Mount. It is not possible for the Jews to build the temple with the Dome of the Rock in the way. Here is an overhead view of the Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock:

Israel taking the site by force is completely out of the question, but let’s give the scenario if this were to happen:

Israel takes the Temple Mount by force, tears down the Dome of the Rock and starts to build the temple.

How many rockets and bombs do you believe would be aimed at and detonated on the Temple? Just about all that the Muslims could get their hands on. So this would be very unwise for Israel to do.

So Israel will receive the Temple Mount by peace. Let’s cover the more than likely chain of events that will lead up to Israel receiving the Temple Mount.

First of all, the Muslims are not going to give up the Dome of the Rock. That’s not happening. But there are events that will occur that will allow them to give it up.

First of all, most of the Muslim world is mad at Israel for the flotilla incident by Gaza. Next, more than likely Israel will take out Iran’s nuclear facilities and really stir up a hornet’s nest.

Then we have the coalition that forms to attack Israel from the north. To the Muslim world this will be their vengeance upon Israel. But from the scripture we see that the battle will be the Lord’s and he will defeat this coalition that comes against Israel.

On the day of this battle, there will be a great shaking in the land of Israel. In Ezekiel 38 it says,

“19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.”

Notice in verse 20 where it says, “…and every wall shall fall to the ground.”

This shows us the good possibility of the Dome of the Rock being destroyed by this great earthquake. The Muslims can’t blame Israel on this one. The Dome of the Rock will come down all by itself.

During this earthquake, as we covered in our last news story, the Ark of the Covenant will be revealed. This will be the archaeological discovery of all time and everyone knows it belongs to the children of Israel.

So here’s the scene: the Gentiles go up against Israel expecting to wipe them out but instead the Lord takes over the battle and wipes the Gentiles out. There is a great earthquake and the Dome of the Rock comes tumbling down. The Ark of the Covenant is revealed.

The Gentiles will be amazed at these events and they will know that the Lord is with Israel. The Lord will magnify himself and the nations shall know that he is the Lord. In Ezekiel 38 it says,

“23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.”

And in Ezekiel 39 it says,

“21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.”

This will strike fear into the hearts of the Gentiles. They will want to make peace with Israel.

Part of this peace process will be to hand over to Israel the Temple Mount. The Dome of the Rock will be destroyed and the Temple Mount will be of no use to the Muslims anymore. Israel will have their Ark of the Covenant and be allowed to build their Temple.

More than likely the peace treaty will include Israel giving the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians, the Golan Heights back to Syria and Israel receiving East Jerusalem along with the Temple Mount.

Good trade by any standards.

Israel will be thrilled and the Palestinians will be satisfied, for a while anyway.

As you can see, the Temple Mount has to be given to Israel by peaceful means. Israel taking it by force will just lead to the Temple being bombed time and time again.
