Dream/Vision - God's Wrath by Sister Cathian

I awoke at 3:30 a.m. in a terrible fear – my heart racing and palpitating, hyperventilating and reeling mentally and emotionally from what I had just seen…

I dreamed I was in a place that was safe for me, since in the dream I was pregnant and about to give birth.

I seemed to be in a cube shaped room. My Father in Heaven had put me there, and though I was enclosed in safety, I had a perfect view of everything that was outside.

As I looked out one side of the cubed room, I saw a young man I know hanging out next to a very large van (more like the size of a bread truck), and he had a bunch of friends with him. This young man had known the Lord when he was very young, but had allowed sin to completely corrupt his heart. He had given himself over to licentious living, and the life of a scoffer. He and his friends were standing around “partying,” smoking dope, carousing, and making lewd comments to each other. The sky was ominous, and not the right color – it was reddish and subdued, like pictures I have seen of what Mars is supposed to look like. They seemed oblivious of what was happening around them. They did not notice what others noticed.

As I looked to the left of them, I noticed people running here and there, and they seemed to be trying to keep from being seen. They were in a hurry to get wherever they were going, being full of fear, and they were hoping not to draw attention to themselves while they searched for a place to hide.

In my cube, there was a roof and three walls and they were completely transparent. But the fourth wall was comprised of a series of smaller windows that acted as video monitors that each had a view of a different situation – people, places, events. I believe there were about nine of these flat glass “monitors.” As I looked at each flat glass “screen” I could tell how a certain situation was progressing.

For instance, I saw looting and pillaging in one view, and a woman that I know, (a former believer who has turned to utter darkness, sin and deception), doing something really bad to persecute me in another. There were other people who wouldn’t turn their lives over to God for anything, and various scenes of chaos and turmoil – both with people I knew and those I did not know.

My labor began to come upon me, and I heard the voice of my Father (The Lord) surround me. He had seen what the evil woman was doing to me, and His wrath was kindled. I heard His voice and felt Him like the wind all around me (even from inside my safe cube). He spoke something to me that I cannot now remember, but He stirred Himself up as His wrath began to grow, and then He went to meet the evil woman to pay her back for her evil and persecution of me.

As I felt Him “leave,” (which isn’t exactly the right term, because He was always all around me, but His Intention and Action moved in some way to let me know where He was going) I saw the sky changing color yet again, and it was turning a very hazy yellow, as dust was churned up in a high wind beneath a blazing sun. People were restless outside, and it seemed that they were running helter-skelter in confusion. The Lord’s wrath was not over, though He had spent the first of it on the backslidden, evil woman. Now His wrath was all around, and though I was safe, I felt the terror of it.

Then I looked up in the sky and saw the sun. It started to grow strange to my eyes, and it was terribly fearful to look at. It moved from its place and first seemed to dance from one side of the heavens to the other, like a bouncing ball. Then it began to move in circles and the terror of it made people panic. My labor was upon me in full force, and though it was not painful, it seemed to be tied to the events that were happening outside my cube, and the intensity of God’s wrath seemed to be tied to what the sun was doing.

I saw that nobody was repenting, but all were running for cover. My heart felt it was going to melt within me for fear, yet I knew that I was not the target or recipient of this terrible wrath.

Then I felt the Lord’s return from pouring out His wrath on the one who had turned from Him and persecuted His people. I felt Him gathered around me, and judging the earth, and I heard Him shout with a loud voice, “ENOUGH!!”

With this fearful cry, I saw the sun suddenly grow huge and intensely bright, like a nova, and before I could comprehend what had happened, God in His wrath against evil mankind had scorched everything on earth to death, and the sun burned completely out. The world around me had been plunged into complete darkness.

I was given to understand that everyone was physically and bodily dead, even me – but I was still safe, and I was delivered of my pregnancy (though I was not given to see what was born). In the outer darkness, which I could perceive from the safety of my cubicle, lost souls were in the beginning of true agony. They thought they had fear when the sun was going “nova,” and when they felt the wrath of the Lord. But NOW began true torment, and there was no escape from it.

When I awoke, the terror of this vision was heavy upon me, and I know that only the knowledge that I was protected as the seer of this vision kept me from fainting with shock and fear at the sight. I was most struck by the special wrath that the Lord has reserved for those who once claimed to be His children, but who have turned their faces from Him and have instead persecuted His own; it was far worse for them than for the rest of the unrepentant sinners whom the Lord destroyed with the earth.

I had terrible fear for people that I know who fall into the category of persecutors of the Lord’s people, and also for those who had known the Lord in their tender years but turned their backs on Him to become mockers and scoffers. I wept for quite a while as I poured out my vision to my husband. Then we prayed for many people, that they wouldn’t have to experience God’s wrath.

I have wondered what it would be like to have a glimpse of hell, and of course we all want to know what heaven would be like. But I have never understood what God’s wrath was about – until now. And I know that if He had not shielded me even in my dream, that I could not have endured it. What I felt of it was enough to shock me into clear sobriety of mind and to make me wish to work more diligently for the souls of lost men and women.
