Prophecy of the signs of the time
Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near: (The Holy Bible never calls any nation a fig tree, this is an instruction to watch for the signs of time.)

Mark 13: 28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near:

Luke 21: 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh. 29 And he spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when you see these things come to pass, know you that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Mark 13: 29 So you in like manner, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I tell you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
This refers to the generation that see these things as stated in Mark 13:29.

Luke 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21: 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13: 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mark 13: 32 But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Luke 21: 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Mark 13:33 Take you heed, watch and pray: for you know not when the time is.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
They were living unaware of what was soon coming upon them.

2 Peter 3: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying , Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep , all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

Genesis 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Notice: it doesn’t say that the human flesh was corrupt as if the flesh was mixed with fallen angel blood. It says they corrupted ‘his way’.

Matthew 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Note: Here is disagreement here among men. But Noah and the few saved ones with him were already protected from the flood in a special place just as the few will be protected during the tribulation. These next two verses of Matthew may refer to half of those left alive after the tribulation  being left to repopulate earth. Or it may refer to half of those left alive after the tribulation  being left to burn. The half that is left are the ones not gathered up by the angels when they gathered the chosen (see Matthew 24:31).

Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Matthew 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Luke 17: 34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your LORD will come.

Luke 21:36 Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
This says it is possible to escape the great tribulation.

1 Thessalonians 5:1  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Matthew 24:43 But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

Matthew 24:44 Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man cometh.
