Integrity Shadow of my Character | Watchman Expose #072212

The Integrity a Christian has will be revealed. It is your shadow which cannot be hid. It is the integrity of what you stand for. It is basic and it is who you are and is your shadow every minute of every day. It cannot be silenced by you. Who you are will be revealed!

David is called the sweet Psalmist of Israel. He was a warrior, a husband, a father, a king, and a man after God’s own heart. Yet David sinned, and through it all, he recovered. We find David saying “I will walk in mine integrity”. David said I will walk in this matter, not I think I can, or maybe I will. David specifically said “I will walk” in mine Integrity, or in my uprightness, my innocence before God, in my perfection. David kept the covenant, was a moral King, except for the incident with Bathsheba and her husband. Yet for David, he swore to himself before God, in a Psalm1; meaning he would sing it, thus declaring it to the Lord. Here is Good News.2

Integrity: tome; H8552; completeness, it is figurative of prosperity; moral innocence, perfection, uprightness

In fact, David here in his integrity says to the Lord “examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. He said LORD examine, prove me; try my mind, my heart, my inner most being and see if these things are not so. That indeed I have trusted in the LORD. The fact I do not sit with vain persons, those who go after the things of the world in rebellion against you. See if I have not walked in thy truth, thy word. See if I have not in fact hated the congregation of evil and that I will not sit with the wicked. He would have nothing to do with such evil and wicked ways or men. He disassociated himself from them. He also said he would not go in with the dissemblers. These are those who conceal. The word is from a primitive root meaning “to veil from sight”, to conceal! These were evil wicked men who appeared as righteous, they were hypocrites who knew very well how to conceal, to “veil from sight” their sins so that others would not see them. But before God, their hypocritical ways are clear before him. David would not walk with these types nor be like them. Now although we can find possibly other things David did wrong and call them sin, the scriptures point out something about him.

Pro_11:3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
