My People Are Destroyed For Lack Of Knowledge

Hosea 4:6-7 (KJV)

⁶ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
⁷ As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

We live in an age where our people have come to favor just about any faux wisdom except that of the Bible. Instead of looking for the meanings of biblical prophesy, they prefer Nostradamus’ incoherent ramblings, and just about any others to the Bible prophesies that continue to manifest themselves in perfect concert with what the writers of the Bible recorded over 2,500 years ago. To prefer secular prophesy over that of God is a fool’s mission indeed.

The words of Hosea mark a prophesy in which the children of Israel became more and more prosperous, while falling steadily away from God in direct proportion to their increasingly comfortable lives. Just as is true today, the High Priests of the time began to teach that which infringed and sometimes contradicted the laws of God, ultimately resulting in the overthrow of Israel. God literally turned his face from Israel and allowed her enemies to consume her, carrying the survivors off to serve as slaves all over the known world. In 70 AD, the Romans conquered Jerusalem, utterly destroying the Temple of David to the ground, but not before Jesus himself uttered these words:

Matthew 24:2 (KJV)

² And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

It is recorded and supported by modern archeological finds, that the Temple of David was utterly destroyed to the very ground by the Romans.

In Bible prophesies written to describe events that would follow, God’s prophets wrote that in the latter days, Israel would be re-established upon its original land, an event that occurred in 1948 when the United Nations gave the former land of Israel, a vast wasteland of desert, back to the Jews. In a few short years, the modern-day Israel had transformed that desert wasteland into a lush, green oasis through clever irrigation technology. To this day, I cannot find another example of a nation being totally overrun, and its people carried off all over the world as slaves, to be re-established as a nation with the same original name — and on its original land holdings.

In the Bible prophesy, the re-establishment of Israel included control of the city of Jerusalem. However, when the U.N. initially gave the land to Israel, it did not include Jerusalem, which was controlled by Arab interests. This caused many Bible doubters and some Bible scholars to claim the prophesy false or not yet fulfilled, until the Six Day War in which Jerusalem fell into Israeli hands. Once again, it was a Bible prophesy that fell into the exact description of events foretold 2,500 years prior.

You have to be a bit of a detective when involved in Bible study, but far more important than that, you must have enough faith in God to know he won’t lie to you. When you have that faith, your eyes become opened to what should be jumping right off the page.

For example, in the Book of Ezekiel we find a latter-day prophesy that is quite astounding. As you digest what I point out to you here, always remember that Ezekiel wrote this prophesy over 2,500 years ago, which is why I find this particular prophesy so overwhelmingly true on so many levels that only a fool would dismiss them. Here I will take you through Ezekiel Chapter 38 just to show you how amazing this prophesy truly is.

Ezekiel 38:1-23 (KJV)

¹ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
² Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
³ And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

Carl’s note: The ancient land of Magog is the present-day Russia.

⁴ And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
⁵ Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

Carl’s note: With all the nations that rose and were later destroyed due to wars, famine, disease, etc in those days, how is it possible that Ezekiel knew Persia (Iran) Ethiopia and Libya would still be viable nations in these latter days? How is it possible, Ezekiel knew that those three nations would currently be allies of Russia? How did he know Russia would be an enemy of Israel?

⁶ Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
⁷ Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
⁸ After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Carl’s note: The land that is brought back from the sword means the formerly destroyed Israel that has been restored. “And is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel”, refers to all the Jews from around the world coming back to their homeland after the U.N. restored Israel.

⁹ Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
¹⁰ Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
¹¹ And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
¹² To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Carl’s note: Here again we see a reference to the fact that the Jewish people have repatriated back to their ancestral home from all over the world where they had been dispersed 2,000 years before this prophesy takes place.

¹³ Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
¹⁴ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
¹⁵ And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

Carl’s note: The reference to the north parts is profound. Go to a globe of the world and find Jerusalem, then trace your finger north and the last major city you will come to is Moscow, Russia.

¹⁶ And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
¹⁷ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

Carl’s note: Notice how God says here, “…I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel…”? Bible prophesy comes from God Almighty, and not the prophets themselves. That is why Bible prophesy beats all others for 100% accuracy.

¹⁸ And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.
¹⁹ For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
²⁰ So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
²¹ And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
²² And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
²³ Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Carl’s note: So here we have a major battle that is yet to come, where tiny little Israel is faced with total annihilation from an army so powerful that no man could predict Israel surviving, and yet through God and his intercession, he will utterly destroy the invaders through flood, great hailstones, fire and brimstone.

All you have read here was given by God to his trusted servant and prophet Ezekiel 2,500 years ago, and yet there were many historians and writers at the time, so perhaps the final miracle here is the fact that the Book of Ezekiel is part of the Holy Bible when so many other writers’ works were rejected. The test God instructed us to use to determine whether a writer is a true prophet of God, or a false prophet like Nostradamus and the others, is that the prophet’s short and mid-term prophesies had to prove true 100%. If they got 99.9% right but were wrong on just one prophesy, they were false prophets and were stoned to death. Needless to say, false prophets didn’t last long in ancient Israel.

Now that was just one chapter out of all the chapters in the Bible, and just look at how many current, humanly impossible predictions proved to be right on the money, and yet some people doubt there is even a God, let alone a Jesus? As God states, they are without excuse!
