That translation was added by later by a I believe a Catholic translator proving he was copying a modern version and not the original translation.
So, Joseph Smith is a FRAUD.
All Christians are false apart from the handful of monks living a property free existence, obey what Jesus commanded twice… Sell or give away all your possessions, give the proceeds to the poor, and follow him like a disciple. It’s proof of your belief and faith that your ‘deity’ will provide. None have faith, none are christian.
What we do have is a whole heap of people role playing their ‘deity’. so they can do the judging instead. And boy do they make a fuss and melodrama about how their interpretation is the only valid one, where by they vilify others as demons and curse everyone else to hell.

Apart from the fact the bible does not say that at all. Do you think the biblical description of heaven ‘fawning non stop for all eternity’ is any less of a captivity?
According to the bible Satan gave mankind the knowledge of good and bad.
What sort of an entity would NOT want it’s creation to know the difference between good and bad?
What sort of an entity would then punish it’s creation for gaining that knowledge?
And what sort of an entity would then change it’s mind, save the one family that did know and drown the entire world because the rest of humanity didn’t know?
Seems to me your ‘deity’ is the baddie, it even admits to being jealous. It lives for ever, can create what it likes, when ever it likes. Can destroy what ever it likes, when ever it likes. It judges who lives and who dies. Is all powerful, all knowing etc. But it’s jealous… WTF has it got to be jealous about?

Such as? Can you demonstrate a single Christian truth? Good luck with that one, there isn’t a single element of Christianity that is unique or original to it. There is no such thing as “Christian truth”, only plagiarised ancient astronomical allegory, dished up as literal by lesser minds.
I hope with all my heart BecK and others understands that it’s not what we do in this life that gives us the opportunity to be in the presence of the Lord in Heaven. Our works, all of them, no matter how much we personally think they shine, are as filthy rags before the Lord. Filthy rags are descriptive of a rag one would carry at that time period to wipe one’s posterior after taking care of business.
It’s only at the Judgment Seat of Christ that believers which have received Jesus’s righteousness applied to their life, that their works will be approved and given rewards for.
To put it in more perspective.
In the Garden of Eden, after Adam and Eve sinned, they tried to cover themselves with leaves to hid them from God’s presence. They felt guilty of the sin they had commtted, as we all do now. God did not accept their covering and provided bloody skins for the two to cover themselves. I am quite sure those skins came from lambs, as this would follow the imagery God provided to us. But, the point is God did not accept man’s works to cover sin, He provided His approved covering – blood atonement. Another sign, another picture of Christ dying for our sins and giving us His righteousness as a gift we cannot earn or add to.
