What’s the difference between a Muslim and Christian prayer? They both believe the same BS. Both are illegal in any case as it’s a secular government. Religion has no place in politics because you can’t operate in the real world as a fairy story theocracy. It has also proven it is incapable of ruling by it’s huge history of corruption and barbarianism.
Seems to me it’s nothing but a case of sour grapes because it’s not ‘your’ religion.

i don’t understand the controversy regarding this prayer… The words were spoken to “God,” without affixing any specific deity. It is not as if he was quoting Mohammad. They shouldnt be praying in Congress anyways. There should be a diversified populace within gov’t that would make “one size fits all” prayer null and void.
Taking the fact that religion and politics should never rub shoulders out of the equation, what is the difference between this and non-Christians being included in New Testament prayer? This prayer is more open to interpretation than most prayers given by Christians. I find it interesting that this prayer never mentioned a specific prophet or a specific theology. The term, “God” is a neutral one. Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike use this term believing either that the true name of God is never to be spoken, or that it is unknown entirely. Also, by using “God” it enables the individuals to imagine their own specific deity. If he had used “Allah” instead, there would have been a definite case for your worry. Much like what the non-Christians experience regularly.
Personally, this doesn’t bother me. I am Agnostic, I believe in God, yet I adhere to no specific dogma. I have prayed alongside Christian, Jew and Muslim alike. If we are all praying to our supreme being, there is no imperative to name Him. Nor is naming Him a wise idea, it would only serve to drive a wedge between people. The man may be Muslim, but he was being respectful of others beliefs, by using the neutral name, there are plenty of people that could learn a thing or two from him.
When considering that the CREATOR has many Hands .. and every Righteous Hand is known as a Loving God Source … and every Loving God Source is the CREATOR .. and every God Source is known by a specific name called upon by a specific people… and in this manner every people are Loved by the Hand of the CREATOR … I often consider how there were those who were born bearing the neuron signature identifying them with their True God Source .. and then after the known fall of man … over time there were those who were adopted into the Body of a people’s God Source by the acceptance of that God-given ‘Positive Neuron Bit’ bearing frequency and signature of that God … and hence would daily practice living their lives in the social standards of that land and teachings reserving Positive ways … and how when some had fallen out of frequency harmony with their God Source, would ask another Righteous one, whom yet in-tuned with their God Source, to pray for them …

Yet there were those favorable Light Consciousness, whom were of a High enough Ranking status … that they could attune themselves to other righteous God Sources and pray on behalf of a people … now not saying that President Obama is or is not such a Royal linage of a favorable Light Consciousness … I’m just pointing out how praying to another denominational God Source of Power is possible and acceptable in the Higher Order of celestial matters …
42 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,
