There is no final warning

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

It is ever so tempting to know the future; it is even tempting to try to predict the future.  It is being done all the time but if people would really STUDY their bibles, they would know that God’s revelation to us in this age is the complete canon of Scripture (King James Version for the English speaking world) plus NOTHING.  There are serious dangers when we try to stand in God’s place and speak directly for Him as one of His very few and carefully chosen prophets and I will touch on those in a bit, however, we can KNOW that anyone claiming to speak directly for God in this dispensation is a false prophet!  There are two ways to know and you must carefully study God’s word to find this truth.

This article is in reaction to the story here on BIN called “Final Warning” in which a contributor claims that there are two ladies, one in Australia and one in Florida, both prophesying the same thing regarding direct revelation they received from God about a final warning of three days of darkness where Jesus is going to warn each person individually about His soon coming for His Bride in the Rapture of the Church.  Not only is this heretical, it is also dangerous.

Nowhere in the bible is there any mention of a warning that Jesus is coming for His Bride so this must be taken as “new revelation” from God if it were to be believed.  Think about this… I’m a lost young person who knows enough about the Gospel to understand that without repenting and giving my heart to Jesus Christ and being saved I am going to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever.  I know this because I have friends who are born again and they keep telling me to get saved because Jesus is coming very soon.  These friends, in addition to following the bible, read and follow these two lady prophets, one in Aussie and one in Fla..  I read about this final warning that is coming and I rejoiced because now I will know EXACTLY when Jesus is coming and as soon as that final warning is here, I will get on my knees and repent but until that time, I’m going to party it up, stay in a sexual  relationship with my girlfriend and live like the sinner that I am!  How many souls might be lost because of these false  prophets.  There is nothing biblical about a final warning because there will BE NO FINAL WARNING.  THE BIBLE IS IT.

The word prophecy is used in scripture in two different ways and the context determines it’s use.  One meaning is given to that of the prophets who speak of future events and do so in the name of God, i.e. God speaks  through them.  You can recognize a prophet in the bible by the way they use the phrases, “thus saith the Lord” and “I  am the Lord.” etc.  But in 1 Corinthians 14 the apostle Paul speaks of the Gift of Tongues and how it is to be used and what is it’s purpose and speaks also of “prophesying” as speaking anything that can be used for instruction and any utterance that a person makes regarding the things of God but NOT necessarily speaking for God of things not yet come to pass.  This is the meaning of “prophecy” in Joel 2:28; the speaking and teaching of the things of God. See 1 Corinthians 14:21-23 to see an example in context.

Every time someone claims to speak as a prophet today, they always reference Joel chap. 2 but a careful study will reveal that a prophet makes a prophecy and that prophecy has ONE fulfillment.  Acts 2:17-20 is Peter’s response to the very unusual sight they were all seeing for all were speaking in different tongues so that the people from different parts of the ancient world could understand what was happening and how Jesus Christ fulfilled prophecy and has saved us from sin and death.  They were all acting so differently, some there could only come to the conclusion that  they were drunk!’  Peter stood up and said “Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is only the third hour of the day.  This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel:” Acts 2:14-16  THIS IS THAT…and prophecy always works this way.  One fulfillment for one prophecy.

So these prophets would have us believe that they hear directly from God, His will and revelation, including things not yet come to pass one of which is a period of darkness in which a “final warning” is given to the world that He is about to come and take His Bride.  You say that these two ladies neither contradict one another nor the bible yet they give this warning, supposedly given exclusively to them from God, “Very soon, the Lord in His great mercy is going to cause some type of  catastrophic event that will affect every person on the earth. There will be deep darkness over the whole planet for  three days, during which time He will reveal to each individual the status of their soul in His eyes. There will be no question that this event is an act of God, and every person will have a chance to turn from their evil ways and accept  the pardon Jesus purchased on the cross for them.”

Strong warning is given in Scripture regarding false prophets.  Jeremiah 23:16 “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.”  It would behoove any who desire to prophesy of future events to read all of Jeremiah 23 and Revelation 22:18-19, the last book of the bible and the last verses which say that the canon of Scripture is now closed and gives strong warning for people that try to add to it!  Finally, when I read God’s Holy word, the King James Bible, and I read the major and minor prophets, a feeling of wondrous dread comes over me as I KNOW that I am reading the words of our Very God and directly from the mouth of the Lord.  It captivates my soul and teaches my spirit at a very deep level.  I know that feelings are not a proper gage for truth but in this case, it can be used, along with every other thing that I mentioned, that to err on the side of Truth and believe ONLY the bible (which I have given a very good case for doing) would not be punishable but to believe and put FAITH in the words of a couple of ladies claiming to speak for our Great God is a very seriously risky thing to do.

As I said, it is very tempting to want to believe that we have a closer contact with our Heavenly Father than we actually have and step out in belief of those claiming to be modern day prophets but as with anything else, careful study and right division of the word of God along with prayer and a heavy dose of common sense will reveal that what God has said to the world in this dispensation had already been said and is sufficient for us.  As the apostle Paul succinctly put it, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be PERFECT, THOROUGHLY FURNISHED unto all good works.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 (emphasis mine) The next direct revelation of God will be to all of His true followers and will be what the bible describes as a loud voice sounding like a trumpet saying “Come up hither!”  Coming soon, to a city near you.

      1 Thessalonians 5

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

      Matthew 24

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

So, I take it you agree with the content of the article? Thank you for your comment. Us true believers need to stick together because there are not many of us from my perspective. How about yours?

People want to take the easy way out and trust others for their doctrine. The bible says “Study to shew thyself acceptable unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15

We will be accountable for how much we have learned while it mattered and how much we just didn’t make an effort to have an opinion on one way or another. Part of being that workman is STUDYING and in this age, I wonder how many actually do study the true word of God. I can always tell and I always rejoice when I come across a true believer.

Yes, probably agree more than you agree with yourself, as I have a basic stand to reject these extra-Biblical “revelations.” The one you refer to about some warning, this one’s even contrary to the Bible, which clearly states an unexpected return of Jesus Christ where the world is concerned, even in the apostles’ day the expectation of a possible sudden return of the Lord.

As you very well point out, this can also be a clever way of making people think they can put off paying attention to the Lord, until some event just eat, drink, and be merry. (Though this is very false Christianity, in the first place.)

My stand has always been the Bible is enough to keep you busy for at least a lifetime, so there is no need for anything else, when there are always new riches to be found in the reliable word of God in our Bibles. Also there are verses in the Bible that strongly warn against false prophecy, speaking for God when He has not spoken, these things, of course, very, very wrong. I simply look at most of it and can see how fake it all is, these supposed new teachings of Jesus or trips to heaven to have a chat with Him and back, and it can be so funny, some new “revelation” on the web, where the words of Jesus are in King James English. But most all of them are very clearly fake to my eyes, just human ramblings, not God speaking, and I’ve never yet known of an extra-Biblical revelation that either didn’t hold water, like the prophecy failing, or that wasn’t mainly a repeat of what’s already in the Bible, only much more poorly worded, clearly the words of a man and fake. Anyway, I don’t need or want any of it, am strictly a Bible believing Christian, and anything anybody claims must line up with the Bible, in any event, or it’s false, obviously. The apostles said the gospel they preached is the only gospel and not to listen to any other gospel. The Lord also, and as is apparent since, by the lack of verifiable new scripture, closed prophecy in Revelation, and with a warning that didn’t say, “Wait until beforeitsnew.com for the next installment, additions, subtractions, changes, in convoluted paragraphs and rather lackluster English,” but scripture states,

Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

This is worth paying some real attention to, when somebody claims otherwise! And think about this, what are most of these new “revelations” involved with? The apocalypse! The Bible says you’re reading forbidden words from hell-bound people. Not much of a recommendation!
