STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

The content of this commentary is deliberately intended to stimulate thought and discussion. Informational analysis comprising National Security of the United States of America, economic forces as a dimension to national security, culture, freedom in human rights, defense and the Rule of Law are considered within the framework of this commentary. The content of this paper also is intended to bring an educational dimension into view, as well as to sound the trumpet of warning to the church at-large of the coming assault, and to prepare God’s People for the same in accordance with Ezekiel 33:7-9.

COMMENTARY AND PERSONAL REMARKS:

The harsh reality was most Americans did not explore any further than the superficial when Mr. Obama ran for the presidency. He was cool, laughed, a young black man – even “hip”; not much more really mattered. To his credit Mr. Obama told this Nation exactly what he intended, it seemed only “Joe the Plummer” got it, spoke up and challenged the Communism dripping from the candidate. Obama delivered a litany of changes he would introduce to America. These “changes” were taken from Karl Marx Communist Manifesto. You know…Redistribution of wealth; People are not good stewards of the land so the government must confiscate and manage; Individual rights are to give way to the needs of the community; Bring down food and energy independence to be in “social equity” with the poorer nations; Neutralize expressed opposition – No dissent allowed! There are others but you get the drift, I pray. Yet America did not really look at or listen to the man who could shoot hoops and hang-out with movie stars.

If America had asked confronting questions and really listened to what was espoused, Americans would have come to see a man deeply tormented and filled with resentment and anger; a man who despised America and our history, our customs, our belief in the Judeo-Christian framework which made our Nation so exceptional – not because we are better than others, but because we believed in God given rights to individuals, freedom to worship and express our love and appreciation to God for ordaining this Nation in the first place (yes, the Founders believed and wrote about this most candidly). No King; No all-powerful state; specific rights written in to a Constitution for the People and by the People.

If we had questioned him, we would have learned he did not grow-up with the American Experience at all; you know, picnics and hot dogs, fireworks on the 4^th of July and all its significance; flag football or stick ball on the street, learning about our national heritage; Thanksgiving and Memorial Day. He grew up among people who despised America, despised our core values and traditions, and viewed our patriotism as a signal for oppression. Heck, he even said on the TV program Meet-the-Press, Sunday September 7, 2008, the “American National Anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as ‘redesign’ our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It’s my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren.” If we had only asked!

Dr. Jack Wheeler who authored the Reagan strategy to break the Soviet Union star wars military weapons race, and who published a weekly intelligence update on global trends and the future, a most candid patriot for America wrote: “Barack Hussein Obama is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No resume, no accomplishments, no experiences, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the real world works, no ba-ls, nothing but abstract, empty rhetoric devoid of real substance. He has no identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of him is mostly Arab which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname. Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively.

What he isn’t, not a genetic drop of, is ‘African-American,’ the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn’t a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead his Arab ancestors were slave owners.

Obamamania is beyond politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity….”

Mr. Obama’s words over five years have now given us consistency from which we can see into this man who lives in the personal conflicted shadows of himself, and continues to try and hide a diabolical heart. He creates anxiety and dissension rather than uniting our country; he promotes disrespect for opposing opinions; he suggests regularly that race and bigotry are rising rather than celebrating the healing that painfully and carefully has taken place amongst groups of people; he is an enemy of Christianity.

Elections, indeed, have consequences and so does turning away from God. The children of Israel demanded a King, an earthly King they could touch and feel good with and who could lead them in their wants (I Samuel 8). The people were rejecting the God of All Creation, and replaced God with a human monarch who would help them run the country through human strength. They thought that a change in the form of government, away from submission to God, would bring about a great new day and change in their nation. A man named Saul came along, and, well, Israel and the people did not fare well under his leadership; in fact, it was a pure disaster for the Nation of Israel and for so very many citizens. Saul no longer worshipped God, relied on his own strength and thoughts as to what was right, and turned Israel into a spiritual wasteland. We here in America are on a very similar path with a similar type of wannabe dictator.

The Scriptures of God’s Word direct: “in all ways we should acknowledge God” (Proverb 3:5-6).

Elections have consequences, and we are beginning to see those consequences in our lives and in our country. Turning away from God also carries heavy and sobering consequences…even worse than what we see in the political realm.
