Invite the living, sacred Jesus Christ of Nazareth; God the Messiah (NOT the prophet!) into your life to be your personal Savior.

The problem with the Book of Enoch is it being a bunch of disjointed fragments, some even going into mythology. As a whole, it clashes with the canon Bible, and has painfully obvious forensics of various authorships. I remember studying it many years ago and could easily see the problems, why it didn’t make it into the Bible. On the other hand, some of it is inspired one must conclude, which is in agreement with scripture harmony, and Jude mentions a record of true prophesy by Enoch that was passed down, and is also in the Book of Enoch (I have an old note “See Enoch 1:9″),

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
But this L.A. Marzulli goes way off the reservation and hypes his books, which are crafted to be sensational. I’ve seen him in interviews stating things fact in his studies he can’t know to be facts, or anybody else. So, I’d be somewhat wary and consider the source. Like with Catholics, I have a real problem with anybody who preaches truth mixed with error. Satan would probably be a superb preacher of partial truths. I’ve long lamented that many people will read these sensational books, without first being thoroughly grounded in reliable scripture of the Bible, which is a mistake. It’s much easier to spot error and conjecture of man, fables and blather, if you have a whole picture of Biblical truth, first. It spares one eating spiritual garbage and wasting time on it. My experience with the apocrypha, about all of it, Old and New Testament, is taking away nothing one couldn’t get from the Bible, even believe the work on establishing Bible canon was inspired, that God ensured His book’s integrity. Some of the apocrypha is even quite whacked.
Being myself a fellow student of the Book of 1 Enoch, I am curious to know what specific portions or verses of Enoch you find objectionable in terms of contradicting Scripture canon. You wrote:

I would argue that this is not at all the case. Would you care to elaborate?

That is precisely what he is, and a master of his craft.
On the web, I see a lot of disputing going back and forth, and choose, myself, to seldom get involved in that back and forth. I don’t have the time or inclination to revisit the Book of Enoch, and there is scholarly analysis on the web of the grotesque problems with the Book of Enoch, the very sound reasons it didn’t make the canon. Please study this yourself, and if you are of the mind to accept a lot of serious flaws with Enoch, you will surely also understand, as an intelligent person, why I wouldn’t find indulging in this useful. Many people insist on error and believe what they choose to believe, despite anything anybody could say or demonstrate. You could say neither do I beat my head against walls.
Much error in the Book of Enoch is a sore enough thumb you’ll surely find on the web those far more interested in and qualified than I, providing all the details of the case that got it thrown out of the canon.
The reasons it was thrown out of the canon are actually beside the point. The point is that is was once IN the canon. The timing of the reversal should be clue enough as to the genuine reasons for the ultimate decision.
Without engaging in a protracted debate about the merits and demerits of the Book, I imagine you wouldn’t be too hard pressed to point to one or two of your main objections without, as you say, beating your head against any walls.
I have always sought to explore the objections to this Book whenever I encounter them. I find the hysteria which surrounds this Book to be entirely unwarranted. More often than not, whenever the topic of this Book is addressed, I encounter a far greater number of folks who have not read it for various reasons, than folks who have actually read it and disapprove of it for any reason. Many have been taught to fear it. The Book is regularly censured and censored, and far less regularly examined and explored. And it is my contention that someone wants it this way.
In a good faith exhibition, I would ask you to please name one or two of the aspects of 1 Enoch which you find most objectionable, and I promise not to pursue the matter further nor even attempt to counter your points. Would you be willing to do that?
