The Return of the “ONE WILL” of the Father, ALMIGHTY GOD”

Jesus said: “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which has sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day”. John 6:38-40

It was the Father’s will that Jesus “lose nothing” and it was the Father’s will that “every one…which seeth and believeth have everlasting life”. But that did not happen. Only a few are chosen because they chose right! And only those few will have everlasting life; only those few became committed to surrendering 100% to the will of God. Salvation is more than belief; remember, demons and fallen angels believe and also tremble in fear. (James 2:19)

In heaven there was and is and will always be the one will of the Father, God Almighty. On earth there are many wills; Isaiah 53:6, “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way…” Revealing there no longer is just the one will of God in the universe but one for every human being that has ever lived. God knows each and every heart, just as He did with Lucifer and the fallen angels, for salvation in heaven, we must do God’s perfect will.

Doing so on earth are but a few devout saints, 100% committed to denying self and surrendering to seeking only God’s will, those few shall are the chosen to be saved; then in heaven, never shall there ever be rebellion.

Purpose of Mankind: To become one with God’s Will and serve Him throughout Eternity.

To better understand this we need a glimpse into what happened before mankind.

Genesis 1:2 tells us that God made what we see today from what He created and destroyed a very long time ago. In verse two we are told the earth was without form and void and covered with water; in other words, it already existed before He made it into what we see today. (Note: After verse 2, in regard to the earth, all things are made, no longer created. You create from nothing and you make from substance.)

In Genesis 3, Satan appears, this tells us that his fall had to occur prior to the creation of mankind, Adam and Eve. It asks the question – How could Satan have fallen ‘after’ the creation of Adam and Eve – he did not.

Donald Grey Barnhouse, in his book, “The Invisible War”, tells the story of how Lucifer once ruled over a world here on earth long before this planet was without “form and void”.

He gives us an earlier translation that earth was “a wreck and ruin” which gives a more vivid picture that earth, along with an earlier civilization, was destroyed in the past long before Adam and Eve. Consider this interpretation of II Peter 3:1-7 from the Hebraic Roots Bible.

1 It has been a long time since I have written to you, my Beloved, but now I write to you this second epistle, in which by reminder I stir up your pure mind to remember

2 …the words having been spoken before by the holy prophets, (Moses, Isaiah and Ezekiel: Moses told about the creation, Isaiah and Ezekiel told of the fall of Lucifer.) and the commandment given by us, the apostles of our Master and Savior (Jesus);

3 …first, knowing this, (…knowing what Moses, Isaiah and Ezekiel said because of what the scoffers will say.) that during the last days scoffers will come walking according to their own lusts,

4 …and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For from which time the fathers fell asleep, all things remain so from the beginning of creation. (Peter is saying, this is not true!!! After the beginning of creation was a world wherein Lucifer ruled and it was eventually destroyed when he rebelled…God destroyed it and it remained so until we pick up the story in Genesis 1:2. Again, from here things are made not created. There we learn first that the earth was completely covered with water “…and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” void of form, it was all water!)

5 For this they willingly forget, that the heavens were of old; (As before Adam and Eve.)

(They were already old by the time of Genesis 1:9 when “…God said, Let the dry land appear: and it was so…” and Peter wanted us to remember it appeared by the word of God – YAHWEH.)

Peter is saying scoffers do not believe the earth was ever destroyed – they cannot see beyond their limited comprehension that it had twice before been destroyed by water.

…and the earth rose up from the waters, and by means of water, by the word of YAHWEH. (This does not reference the flood of Noah’s time; when God spoke, Genesis 1:9, the land appeared, it happened in one day! This is what Peter is referring to, before Adam and Eve.) 

6 Through which the world which then was, being flooded by water, perished. (No survivors! In this world that was ‘then’ those in it completely perished. Noah was saved from the second flood not this one.  The earth has been destroyed by water, first instantly by the spoken word of God, then again when God saved Noah and it took over 150 days for land to reappear.)

7 But the heavens and the earth now, having been stored up by the same Word (God’s word to destroy), are being kept for fire to a day of judgment and destruction of wicked men.

The earth was without form and void, other interpretations say it was a wreck and ruin. When God spoke judgment to destroy the world that was ‘then’, the firmament (land) became a wreck and ruin as it was immediately submerged in a flood of water from ‘beneath’ the earth becoming void, without form. (Recently scientists have proven this as having occurred.)

Back to Barnhouse’s story, he reveals to us that Lucifer once ruled all of earth (what most likely was a perfectly created earth) and quite possibly the entire universe, and he most likely did so for a very long time. We also learn that in this world, that Lucifer was created for, he came into existence as a powerful supernatural super intelligent being, second in power and authority only to God.

After an unknown amount of time, perhaps thousands maybe tens of thousands of years, we have no indication in the Bible, Lucifer had a thought in his heart to ascend to the most high. Barnhouse tells us that he not only wanted to be like God, he wanted to take over, replace and be God, second to no one. (Matthew 4:9) By all accounts it appears God spoke and there was judgment. The once perfect and beautiful earth immediately became a wreck and a ruin.

What we do know, from men’s own studies of geology, is that earth has been here for a very, very long time. We don’t know if most of that time happened during Lucifer’s rule or after God turned it into a wreck and a ruin, it is unknown. Barnhouse confidently tells us, when God turned off the lights it was most likely for a very long time.

Regarding ‘a very long time’, after God judges and prior to mankind, I am not aware of a word that defines the existence of being outside of time other then the Bible’s references to eternity. In the Bible we learn that there was an eternity past and future; we also learn when Jesus returns we go to be with him in ‘everlasting’ life, to be with him ‘for ever and ever’ and we have ‘eternal life’ from having been saved, none of these apply to this existence.

That said, logic would indicate, a previous world had ‘time’; however we don’t know that with certainty. The conclusion would be either there once was time as we know it or what we can only comprehend as ‘time’ was something else with this world; what we know for certain is there was no time when our ‘time’ began with mankind as described in Genesis 1:6-19.

Barnhouse has remarkable insight from the bits and pieces throughout his years of scriptural research in giving to us this incredible story. He tells of how Lucifer would channel the worship of those whom he ruled over and give it all to God. Then at some point, his desire to be a god caused the end of this era.

Lucifer had defied the one will of God Almighty and God spoke the words of judgment and destroyed the perfect world. He turned it into a “wreck and a ruin”; he left Lucifer, along with all those beings that sided with him, alone somewhere in darkness to ponder their fate. And so it appears, Lucifer was challenged to defy the power of God – to bring back light and life to a dark world now without form and void.

Lucifer would manage to survive, as evident today; a survival that should not be under estimated. Those beings survived in a world covered with water; they did so in what must have been total darkness. Given that understanding, read Isaiah 27:1b “even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.” The seas of the earth! It’s hardly a leap to speculate the seas and beneath the earth, is most likely where Satan survived.

So, God would then give Satan, sin and all those who followed a final trial, not for redemption, rather to prove to the universe there is no place for sin in the presence of the One Will of God Almighty. This would be the moment of the “Alpha”, the beginning of ‘time’ – time, as we know it in our world. (Genesis 1:3-19)

Barnhouse gives us an incredible glimpse so we can understand the full significance of time:

“The universe should see, once and for all, if it were possible for any creature whatsoever, of any rank, however exalted, to live for even a moment independent of God the Creator. That full trial of the possibilities of a second will in government is the nature of the duration that we call time.” 

Time is a creation of God that now exists between two incomprehensible eternities. I don’t believe we, as mortals will ever be able to comprehend this aspect of God in or out of time.

Barnhouse, once again: We now look upon this question from the point of view of heaven and from the outlook of eternity. Time shrinks into an insignificant moment between two eternities. We look back and realize there was “a forever and forever and ever” before God created Lucifer. We look into the future and we see there will be another “a forever and forever and ever,” after God, the Lord Jesus Christ, has “put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.” I Cor. 15:24, 25. What appears to us from our worm’s eye view of earth to be vast stretches of time, covering all the generations of man’s history and the ages of the earth, shrinks into a single moment between two eternities during which God is permitting evil to prevail for a brief space and out of which He shall bring a multitude of sons…Though these sons shall have a dignity and a glory far above that which Lucifer knew, and though they should exercise powers and hold prerogatives far higher than those given to the first governor of the universe, there shall never rise in any heart the thought of rebellion against the authority of God…why…

Unlike Lucifer whose first consciousness upon his creation was that of a powerful governor of the universe, we human beings that voluntarily stripped ourselves of our pride and arrogance (Lucifer’s original sin) to willingly submit to the Will of God and to demonstrate a selfless Christ-like behavior to a sinful world – are the chosen! Satan hates this truth!

From our willingness to deny self we make this choice; a choice Satan did not think we could do! This is how we secure eternal salvation and nothing we do is more important than this. This trial, so to speak, is showing that man can live totally independent of Satan and his world!

“God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.” I Cor. 1:27 – Note – We are chosen! God has chosen us! But we must be faithful and obedient!

When Jesus Christ returns, His return will usher in the hour of judgment and the removal of all sin and evil. “THEN” all things WILL return to the one Will of God Almighty as we enter eternity and everlasting life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 15:28 “…when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”  

So time is the length of the trial, it ends when Jesus returns:

Revelation 10:5, 6, & 7 “And the (seventh) angel which I saw…And swear by him that liveth for ever and ever…that there should be time no longer…when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished…”

“…that there should be time no longer…” happens because time is no longer necessary! The great trial of the universe is over and Jesus has returned to pass judgment. No longer is there time, if we denied ourselves glorifying God by doing His will, we will go into eternity, forever and ever, an existence that can not be confined or measured.

In Ephesians 1:9, 10 Paul writes: “Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth… ”

Again, the mention of utilizing “time”, the dispensation thereof has been fulfilled. From within this period of time Christ, now at the end of it, gathers together in “ONE” all things. In other words, all things are gathered and return to the “ONE” will of God. The fullness of time has played out! This brings about the introduction to a sense of urgency like no other that; our lives on earth are all about our volitional obedience to behavior that glorifies God Almighty.

Its God’s Will that we all be saved: “And this is the Father’s will…that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life…” John 6:40. Almighty God is the God of Love but He is also a God that demands total and 100 percent submission, commitment and obedience. Although it was His will that all mankind be saved, men, by their own volition have chosen otherwise. The decision is and has to be ours to make, there can be no other way.

We must choose to deny self, trust the Lord and surrender 100% to the Will of God.

Ephesians 1:9, 10 are about returning God’s Will to One. Under Jesus all things are finalized and reduced to the Will of God and the final action is Jesus himself voluntarily being subject unto God thus bringing full circle the original breaking of the One Will of God the beginning to the ending, once again all things will be glorifying the One Will of God.

We all need to know, God has twice destroyed the world, the first time, no one was spared; the second time only 8 people, how many will be chosen this time? Are you one of them? Know this, the mystery of God’s will for you is this simple: Glorify Him through your obedient behavior.

Those who believe in God but cannot separate from this world are doomed! Many think its God’s will to go out and change Satan’s world – Remember, we are told to mind our own business and be a witness through our behavior! Trying to change all things evil (government) is futile; it’s a deception! That’s not our purpose. Remember, we are now separated, no longer should we continue to partake, conform or mind earthly things. We were never told to fight Satan in his world where he makes all the rules!

We must willingly and joyfully accept our rejection when we take up our cross, we must survive our time here even when all we own, maybe what we are wearing! We must find joy in our trials and we must endure it all until Jesus returns victoriously to pass judgment.

The purpose of mankind is for each human being to exercise their own volition; those who seek to find salvation in Jesus Christ from having been a sinner in an unsaved world and then do God’s will, shall be saved, they are the chosen ones. Having been taught by the Holy Spirit they deny them selves daily. They continue on to demonstrate their faith in Jesus Christ by being different. With an unbiased benevolence they show the world their faith by their obedient behavior. Resisting the temptations of evil, they turn the other cheek and they give when asked.

That’s what are life on earth is all about, God is choosing those who deny themselves for the glory of God and willingly sacrifice and surrender themselves to serve and do God’s will and do so separated from the very world that surrounds them from east to west, north to south, seen and unseen. That’s how we serve King Jesus in the ‘here and now’ in His “spiritual” kingdom, where He now reigns in The Kingdom of God!
