Researchers Fear Giant Volcano Under Yellowstone National Park Could Erupt
If the massive supervolcano underneath Yellowstone National Park ever erupted, it could spew ash over most of the United States.
Of course, the Yellowstone Caldera (as it is formally known) hasn’t erupted in about 70,000 years — and it only seems to erupt around every 700,000 years — so it seems unlikely that it will happen again anytime soon. All the same, researchers constantly study the underground volcano looking to understand its behavior. You know, just in case.

Could erupt????
It WILL erupt sooner or later, it’s not a question of if, but of when.
Yellowstone goes through regular cycles where the crust above the molten lake rises and falls and has swarms of microquakes. It’s near impossible to predict if it will result in an eruption at any particular moment. But I’m pretty sure it will be unmissable when it does. If you live within a thousand miles of it, you’ll be dead in any case.
Either move away, or stop worrying about the little things. Life survived it in the past, it will survive it in the future. It’s not like we can do anything to prevent it, so stop being such a doom and gloom merchant and enjoy life while you have it. Spirituality is supposed to uplift your spirits, go play doom and gloom in your depressing religious sections.
