Prophecy Clock – Is It All Over within 23 Years?

If you follow the One Year Bible, you just finished reading Luke 21, today. That chapter contains a prophecy about the Last Days that indicates when the they begin, and – more importantly for us – when they end.
What’s also interesting is that Jesus, at the same time, told us the key to surviving this terrible period of time. And, the goal of this website is centered on that survival, as well as your ability to stand before the Lord in the Day of Judgment and hear, “well done thou good and faithful servant.”
So, let’s talk about Luke 21, and why it is so important to us.

Prophecy Clock – Is It All Over within 23 Years?
That title represents an extremely shocking question, and more than a little difficult to swallow.
Could we really have only 23 years, or less?
Well, a close examination of Luke 21 appears to leave us without any other conclusion. So, let’s look at it.
Luke 21
In Luke 21, the disciples were admiring the Temple, exclaiming over how beautiful it was. Jesus proceeded to send them into a state of shock by saying:
As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. – Luke 21:6
After that horrifying statement, Jesus then launched into a description of the next 40 years. And, as we know, everything happened exactly as He described – especially with the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple – in AD 70.
That takes us to Luke 21:24. And, it is this verse that spans almost exactly 1900 years. It says this:
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. – Luke 21:24
The people referred to here were the Jews, and for 1900 years, they were scattered to literally the ends of the Earth. And, Jerusalem was indeed controlled by the non-Jews for that entire time.
And then… after that 1900 year period… something happened.
Time of the Gentiles Completed
The period of time allotted to the Gentiles fulfills. To put it another way, the period of time set aside for them is finished. The word ‘fulfilled’ is the same one used when talking about fulfillment of prophecy.
When did that happen?
On June 7th, 1967, Colonel Motti Gur cried out three words to General Narkis, and to the world, “haHar haBayit b’Yadenu!” (The Temple mount is in our hands). And, it marked the end of Gentile control of Jerusalem.
(A few hours later, my Dad almost had a heart attack when he heard that on the radio on his way to work and found that he had missed The Rapture.)
There is a picture running around somewhere of an Israeli flag flying from the top of the Dome of the Rock. That flag was ordered taken down by Moshe Dayan, but it remains as an incredibly symbolic moment in time.
So, can we say that Jerusalem is no longer ‘trodden down of the Gentiles’?
The Gentiles No Longer Control Jerusalem
I think so. For those of you not so sure, let me ask you this:
How do we know when someone is in control of something, in this day and age?
Law.
When you break the law in America, you go to an American court and you are penalized under American law. When I break the law here in Taipei, I go to a Taiwanese court and am penalized under Taiwanese law.
What happens when you break the law in any part of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount?
You go to an Israeli court, and you are penalized under Israeli law.
Here, let me emphasize this a bit with a picture:

Those are Israeli policemen.
Does that give you an idea as to WHO rules over the Temple Mount, and the law that prevails over it?
Yeah. It’s Israeli law, applied in Israeli courts. If you violate the law of Israel on the Temple Mount, you pay an Israeli fine or go to an Israeli jail.
Is there anyone ELSE who governs the Temple Mount?
No. Of course not. Otherwise, the Palestinians wouldn’t be nearly as desperate as they are now, to get control of that place.
However, please understand that Jesus specifically made the connection to Jerusalem, and I find that the be particularly significant. He was saying that Jerusalem was the key, not the Temple.
What does all this mean for us?
What It Means For Us
Well, when you keep reading through Luke 21, you see this verse:
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. – Luke 21:31-32
So, there will be a generation that sees these things come to pass… and, it appears that THIS generation will not pass away.
What things?
These things:
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. – Luke 21:25-28
THAT is the Last Days in a nutshell.
So, how much time do we have left?
How Much Time Left
Well, the lifespan of a man was set by God at 70 years, and Jerusalem was captured by the Jewish people 47 years ago. So…
70 – 47 = 23
So, it looks like we have a maximum of 23 years left.
So, will everything happen by 2037?
Well… it could be all over with, even more quickly than that.

This kinda makes sense to me. I have been telling people prophecies don’t make sense now and will take 20-30 years or more to happen.
This puts it right in the money!
But one must calculate the 7 year tribulation so before the generation passes away and when Christ is predicted to come.
So, the start is 7 years earlier. 2030 or before! Possibly beginning 2026?

Why would that be important to you? There would be nothing anyone can do about something that is known. We would be nothing but preprogrammed Sims if the future was known for a fact. We cannot change the known, we would have no choice other than to follow the known future. Created and set up to fail thousands of years before we are even born.
The bible couldn’t make any less sense if it tried.

The Israelites were not taken into captivity, they were wiped off the face of Earth by Rome in 70 CE. Rome butchered every last man, women, child, suckling baby, their livestock, burned their crops and homes and raised Jerusalem to the ground. Exactly as described in the Greek Revelation, dated to 70 CE.
Rome had recently been destroyed from within by a political group called the Pharisees, wealthy influential bankers and traders who manipulated politics to line their own pockets, wage wars to loot other countries and keep power away from the poor, the sick and minorities.
AFTER they manipulated Rome into wiping out the Israelites in 70 CE, the political laws and policies of the Pharisees became the basis for Judaism.
Pharisaic belief are based on the thought and belief intolerance of a Pharaohs godship, total oppression. Hence the 3 main religion are all thought and belief intolerant political dictatorships, complete with daily party political broadcasts, treating the population as property, vilifying minority groups to distract attention away from their draconian barbaric policies, criminalising dissent, wars, torture and genocides.
Jesus was not a Pharisee, he spoke out against them and their debt enslavement money lending, thus he was not Jewish, Judaism didn’t exist when Jesus was living. It is not much older if any than Christianity.
