The Kingdom of God that Comes with Power is Near!

2000 years ago the Son of God preached:
“The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the Good News.” (Mark 1:15)

Though 2000 years have passed since this proclamation was made, the Kingdom of God did not come, because the time was not fulfilled. The time that began at the creation comes to fulfillment only at the End of Ages, when it is time for heaven and earth to pass away (Mt. 5:18). Every work of God has an appointed time and God is working even Now (Jn. 5:17). The End of Time is when all the works of God come to their fulfillment (Heb. 4:8-9). So when Jesus Christ said “The time is fulfilled” he was speaking about the End Times.

Only when the time is fulfilled – in the End Times- the Kingdom of God comes. Which Kingdom of God? Jesus Christ taught about three Kingdoms of God. But, the Kingdom of God that the Son of God mentions here is the Kingdom of God that is yet to COME and that comes with visible signs (Mk. 9:1). This is the Kingdom of God that is going to come in the End Times. In fact, Jesus Christ taught all his disciples who would believe in him to pray for the coming of this Kingdom (Mt. 6:9-10). It is for the coming of this Kingdom that Christians have been praying for the last 2000 years.

Jesus Christ exhorted his followers to believe in the proclamation and preaching that this Kingdom of God is coming. If people are to believe, someone must preach about this Kingdom of God, because faith comes only from hearing. If someone is to preach, he must be sent by God (Rom. 10:14-17). Besides, since it is in the End Times that this Kingdom of God comes, those who preach about this Kingdom must be sent NOW. This is the Good News about the Salvation that God has prepared to be revealed in the End Times (1 Pet. 1:5, Dan. 12:8-10, Is. 40:9-10). This is NOT the Gospel that has been preached in this world for the last 2000 years.

The King and the Authority of this Kingdom of God is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who comes again to this world (Lk. 19:11-15). He comes to rule as the King of kings. So, the preaching about this Kingdom of God is in fact preparing the way for the Son of God who comes to judge the world (Mal. 3:1-3).

If one is to believe in the Good News about this Kingdom of God that comes down from Heaven, he must repent and become like a child (Mt. 21:31-32). The Will of God is that all should repent by listening to the Good News of the Kingdom of God (Acts 17:30). People are exhorted to believe in the Good News when it is preached because, those who believe will be given the power to become the Children of God (Jn. 1:12) and those who do not believe will be punished (Mk. 16:15-16, Jn. 3:18-19). People who did not believe what Jesus Christ preached 2000 years ago were not punished by him. Though there are innumerable people who did not believe in the Gospel that has been preached for the last 2000 years, God did not punish them. But, those who do not believe in the Good News of the Kingdom of God that is preached in the End Times (Mt. 24:14), when the Kingdom of God is about to come with power, will be punished (2 These. 1:6-10). 

Behold, the Good News that the Kingdom of God is near, is being preached! (Is. 40:9-10). Behold, the Good News that the Reign of the Son of God is near, is being proclaimed (Is. 52:7-9). Now is the time to repent! Now is the Time of Salvation! (2 Cor. 6:1-2)
