The conference primarily focused on the detection of primitive extraterrestrial life forms, and featured presentations from nearly 30 international experts in astronomy, physics and biology. Scientists (many of them nonbelievers) are offering presentations on subjects as varied as how life might have begun on Earth; what newly found “extremophile” microbes living in harsh places on our planet might tell us about possible life on others; and how life forms might be detected in our solar system, or how their bio-signatures might be found on and around the many distant exoplanets.
Discussion of the implications of intelligent extraterrestrial life, both scientific and theological, did not appear prominently in the conference agenda. One of the presenters, however, Prof Paul Davies commented on the religious implications of discovering intelligent extraterrestrial life: “If you look back at the history of Christian debate on this, it divides into two camps. There are those that believe that it is human destiny to bring salvation to the aliens, and those who believe in multiple incarnations,” Davies pointed out that the multiple incarnations theory, the idea that multiple examples of Jesus Christ would be found in the universe “is a heresy in Catholicism.”
The Vatican, through Funes, is supporting the idea that the incarnation of Christ is a unique event in Earth’s history tied in to humanity’s ‘fall’ and ‘original sin’. I have a question to anybody who it might concern. I have been reading alot about Falun Gong practisioners being persecuted in China. I have also been reading about Christianity facing similar results of practisioning the word of God in mainland China; crosses have been removed from churches and they have been closed down aswell. While there seems to be so big fuzz about Falun Gong being prohibited in China, what makes still Christian churches to exist at all there? Even minimized, but I have not read yet “officially” that Christianity has been prohibited by the CCP? And what comes to violence, I think both Falun Gong and Christian believers basically share a non-violent addressing of matters what comes to being able to exercise one’s belief, if it was Zhuan Falun by Mr. Li Hongzhi or if it was the Holy Bible. So please tell me, people, why are not Christians all over the world protesting and crying at loud how their fellow believers are being treated in China – if this is so – and why is it only somehow falling upon Falung Gong practisioners to cry at loud? If Peter was to be the foundation of God’s Church why is he not singled out, why is he just included in with the other 11 in verse 14, why is Peter not over the 11 others? David is King over the whole house of Israel, so that spot is not in the picture.
The 12 Apostles are to rule the 12 tribes and are foundational gates to the New Jerusalem. What is a gate for? A gate is to allow those out side to enter in. The 12 are each given positions at the 12 gates to the Kingdom and each has that KEY to the Door. Each will allow only those of the 12 tribes to enter.
