When your Dad is rich, you know that you will never need to worry about money. He may not always pay for everything that you want. But, you will never have to worry about what you need.

When your Dad is the God of the Universe…

…you will never need to worry about ANYTHING that you need.

Period.

Worry is just another word for fear. And yes, our Father really is the God of the Universe. And, the only thing that we need to fear is our inattention to what God is telling us.

That’s why, even with all that is going on around us, our only fear should be deafness to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Fear

We live in the most dangerous and awful time in human history. And, as bad as things are now, they are going to get far worse. What lies ahead will shake men’s souls.

Jesus said this, about what’s coming:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. – Matthew 24:21

We WILL be going through that, as I described in my series, The Pre-Tribulation Rapture Lie.

And, we NEED to be concerned about it… but, in the same way that we plan for tonight’s dinner:

We plan as best we can…

…and hope that everyone was glad that they were there.

But, we don’t need to fear.

I Am NOT Afraid

So, when I write about all the evil that is happening in the world, and the plans that many have to kill you…

…I am not afraid, and you shouldn’t be either.

Now, some of us are GOING to be afraid, especially when we first wake up to what is going on. My own brutal awakening to our current situation, happened on the evening of April 5th, 2011.

But, I Have Been A Bit Hysterical

I was in complete shock and went just a teeny, tiny bit hysterical. In fact, one of the reasons why I do not delete previous articles is so that you can track the evolution of my own view of what is going on.

It truly has been an interesting process.

But, my hysterical beginnings did not include fear – at least, not fear for my own safety. I did (and do) fear for YOUR safety.

People have reminded me that I am not in a particularly safe place, because of China’s threat towards Taiwan. I get that, but I don’t mind. I’m not here, in Taipei, to escape danger. In fact, I have a class to teach tonight that is part of THE REASON why I am here.

Just Get THE REASON

My concern for you ends when you also find THE REASON. If you know where you are supposed to be, and are willing to accept whatever happens – well, that’s all that I need to know. It really is a blessing to see so many brothers and sisters serving the Lord.

But, for the rest, my fear for you drives me on. I know that God has you in the palm of His hand. And, I know that suffering and death will come for all of us. I get that.

My fear is that you will stand before the Lord one day, and He will ask you why you buried your talent in the ground, and why you allowed yourself to be destroyed by Satan.

Lucifer and his minions, the Luciferians, want you dead, and I don’t intend to make it easy for him to do what he wants.

Steve Quayle and Pastor Lankford On H&H

Well, all of this comes from the Thursday edition of the Hagmann & Hagmann Report. Steve Quayle and Pastor Lankford were on to talk about fear. They talked about the spirit of fear, and I whole-heartedly agree with everything they said.

I highly recommend that you listen to it. It’s three hours long, so that might be more than you have time for, but listen to as much as you can.

Hashimoto’s Disease

Steve did pray for me in the last few minutes of the show, and I am deeply moved by that. You are probably wondering about why he would do such a thing…

…so maybe I should take a moment to talk about my own personal challenges.

I essentially suffer from Hashimoto’s Disease. I say ‘essentially’ because it’s hard to determine exactly whether it’s that, or something closely related.

I don’t put much faith in the test for Hashimoto’s Disease because it is so unreliable. However, another member of my family HAS been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, and autoimmune disease does run in my family. Add to that the fact that I’m in remission for a separate (although minor) autoimmune disease… and, well… logic would seem to indicate…

…that it’s Hashimoto’s Disease.

Whatever the case, my thyroid doesn’t work. At all.

Chronic Depression

Worse, my condition went untreated for a very long time, which lead to one of the worst cases of chronic depression that I know of. And, the interesting thing about depression is that once it sets in, it is difficult – if not impossible – to shake, even after the original causes have been dealt with.

And yes, hypothyroidism WILL cause depression. In fact, everyone that I know, who suffers from hypothyroidism, also suffers from depression. If you suffer from low thyroid, and do not struggle with depression, you are fortunate, indeed.

Although, you might be struggling with depression without knowing it. That was my story for quite a while.

Keeping Me Humble

I have asked the Lord repeatedly to take this from me, but He has told me that He will not, as long as I desire to serve Him. God hates pride and arrogance, and He will NOT tolerate a servant who is proud. And, this depression has helped keep my pride in check.

I have spoken of my struggle with pride, in the past, so please feel free to level that accusation against me. I willingly admit to it. And, it IS something that God hates.

(Although, please don’t confuse passion with pride.)

Famous Christians With Depression

For those of you who suffer depression, Charles Spurgeon also suffered terribly from this horrible affliction. And, some of the hymns that you sing in church were written by a fellow sufferer, William Cowper. And, every time you sing, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, think of the depression that plagued the life of that song’s writer, Joseph Scriven.

And, I believe that the Apostle Paul suffered depression, as well.

I truly would not wish this on my worst enemy.

Okay, I didn’t mean to go so deeply into the discussion of depression, but I guess that it was good to talk about it.

For those of you who are fellow sufferers, God bless you. I truly feel your pain.

And, thank you Steve, for your prayer. Sometimes it’s all a bit too much, and we desperately need the prayers of our brothers and sisters.

Conclusion

So, let me conclude by telling you that we need only fear our deafness to the Holy Spirit and our lack of willingness to obey. God is truly in control and loves us more than words can express.

Our Dad is the God of the Universe and will deny us nothing that is good for us, which means that our sufferings and affliction are for our good and His glory. So, rejoice in the midst of your distress. May we all be bright and shining lights in The Great Persecution that is coming.
