Don’t Be Fooled by False Christianity! Re-examine your Commitment to Christ!

Salvation Demands Sacrifices From YOU!

Time is running out! We are truly living in the end times and a plethora of false Christian salvations fills the churches of today! Don’t be fooled! Christianity is a tough road to walk – it is not easy! There are sacrifices and they begin at the moment you decide to convert and give up the things of this world.

- Luke 18:16-28

16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

17 Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Salvation is that we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior – here we have Jesus telling us salvation is that we receive the kingdom of God.  The meaning is this: When we become a Christian, we receive the kingdom of God – we enter into the kingdom of God, we become part of the kingdom of God and it becomes hidden (unseen) within us. “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God”. Colossians 3:3

What is it about a little child that we need to be like to receive the kingdom of God? Children are humble by nature, too young to be full of pride and arrogance and what they do have is unselfish innocents that have yet to seek riches and possessions.

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God.

20 Thou knowest the commandments, do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

In other words, he is saying he does not sin; only a man of arrogance and pride would admit as much – Jesus now points out his covetousness.

22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. Unlike the children.

24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, how hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Children have so little to give up, in fact, with children, there is no surrendering of possessions, just the desire to come unto him and follow.

25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Here lies the most important part of this story. The more you have (possessions) the harder it becomes to surrender and submit to Christ! Once again, to enter into the kingdom is to become a born-again Christian – this not about going to heaven!!!!  -  Jesus is saying those who are rich NOW, in this world, will find salvation nearly impossible!

This is why the disciples then asked Jesus the following:

26 And they that heard it said, who then can be saved?  They think it’s impossible! If they think it’s impossible – it has to be because of the sacrifice we are asked to take to demonstrate our faith. Only then does it become possible through God.

27 And he said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Why is it impossible with men? Because they do not trust in God just as the rich young man did not trust in Jesus and walked away. If they would trust in God and surrender all their possessions, then it becomes possible with God. The young rich man had Jesus there in person and yet he could not part with his possessions.

28 Then Peter said, lo, we have left all, and followed thee.  Peters statement immediately proves it is possible with God that when one can leave it all behind and follow Christ, they can be saved.

Time is running out – when you became a Christian, did you give up anything? Think on this, as time is running out, that 401 retirement, do you trust that more than Christ? All those stocks and bonds, do you trust those more than Christ? All that property, that unnecessarily big house of yours do you need that or can you trust in Christ and downsize – use the money for the poor and keep trusting in Christ, can you do that? If not…

You need to decide – time is runnig out!
