    “Rock hard scientific fact..”

That’s not science it’s pseudo science. Mumbo jumbo from the crazies of the world. Petroglyphs are a totemic language. A totem is the description of the nature of something, not the something itself. They frequently use animal or a mixture of animal and human as totems because a people close to nature would automatically know as a ready made data base, the nature of animals and so be able to understand it’s meaning. Actually a much more advance from of language that insures against future mutation and misunderstanding, as is the case in modern label based languages. The nature of animals do not change. the nature of labels changes rapidly, eg the word gay, went from a happy person to a homosexual to something being naff, lame within a few decades.
